It's customer interactions like **THIS** that absolutely make our day. Even when we can't provide an absolute answer, we'll definitely try and help. Even if it means running to get our own dog and line her up with her toys to take a photo (sneak peek our Wholesale Manger's toes in very fluffy socks because it's VERY cold today).
A positive experience is what we're all about - even if you don't end up being our direct customer.

Happy International Women's Day for 2023.

75% of our team is female, with a focus on diversity, equality and inclusion. Embracing Equity is essential in ensuring voices are heard from all different walks of life. The more diversity = the more versatility. There is no space for complacency and according to the World Economic Forum, it is unlikely the world will see gender parity in our lifetime (source: International Women's Day - About website) therefore, International Women's Day and driving accelerated change, and embracing equity is imperative to create equality in the future.

How handsome is Bob?
So glad we could send some goodies to Bob and his family to keep the birthday vibes going after he was in ICU on his birthday.

Giving back to our community is integral to our business model, and as ex-vet nurses and animal industry professionals, this is what we live for!

Remember Bob? Unfortunately, Bob celebrated his birthday in ICU at SASH North Ryde last month, after he was hit by a car and in a critical condition.

The nursing team went above and beyond to make Bob's birthday as special as possible, after Bob's family were heartbroken, since they couldn't throw him a party at home.

But the generosity didn't stop there! We had Nadia from PetWise send a birthday present for Bob! 😍

We saw Bob today for a re-check and we are pleased to share that he is getting stronger and returning back to his normal happy self each day!

While it's not often that products arrived damaged, when they do, it's vital that these products don't go to waste.
Our customers are part of their local communities, we will always suggest (when safe to do so and on a case by case basis) to have these donated to our customer's local shelters or rescues, or we put them in contact with our charity partners nation-wide. Just like Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse Bundaberg has done to support their local rescue.
We're immensely proud of our donation policies and our team members who live our values everyday, nothing should go in the bin unless it's unsafe.

This year, in lieu of corporate Christmas gifts, PetWise made a donation to RSPCA Australia on behalf of our customers.

RSPCA offers a number of services to animals, including rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming. During this year with the devastating floods that affected much of the east coast of Australia, RSPCA worked with the SES to provide supplies and veterinary advice to flood-affected communities.

We made 3 donations, in the RSPCA Australia Guardian Angel project, one for each species (dog, cat and birds/livestock/exotics).

Happy Horse's Birthday!

Tomorrow, on Saturday 30th April we celebrate World Veterinary Day.

Over the last 5 years throughout the veterinary industry, our world (both working and home) has changed drastically. While our communities grappled with pandemics, long term staffing shortages, supply issues and natural disasters, our vets, nurses and support staff have continued to care for animals. Often at the sacrifice of time away from family, long hours, stressful work environments and burnout.

The industry is now pleading with the general public and government to consider the impact on the people who love this industry, who are walking away in great numbers.

We thank all of our veterinary industry partners, who are working hard and facing challenges we've never seen before. Please be kind to your local vet, and consider contributing to worthwhile charities such as Love Your Pet Love Your Vet and Flynn’s Walk.

Floods are impacting our customers throughout Australia, we are constantly working with our supply partners to safely deliver where possible.

We are also working with Animal Rescue Cooperative to get supplies to effected areas immediately. PetWise have worked with ARC over the last 3 years to provide help those in need.

Yesterday our GM dropped over to the Castle Hill Showgrounds to provide some water and food bowls to those who have had to leave their homes.

This year has been exceptionally difficult for everyone, especially charities that rely on donations and volunteers. This year, we have focussed our efforts on not only meeting unprecedented demand, but also to use our success in the market to give back to our community.
We are proud to have received a certificate of appreciation from NSW Bull Terrier Rescue INC it's going straight into a frame and up on our wall to remind us of the big picture... the pets we love and giving them the happy life that they deserve.

Yesterday, two of our team members, Kate and Nadia went out to Greyhound Rescue's new premises in Bargo to install a dog poo bag dispenser from BioGone.

The team at BioGone kindly donated some environmentally friendly bags and a sturdy dispenser as a congratulations for Greyhound Rescue's win as 2020 Jetpets Companion Animal Rescue Outstanding Rescue Group of the Year.

Thank you to the team at BioGone for their wonderful donation and to the lovely team at Greyhound Rescue for letting us come visit and meet the gorgeous Ocean (with Nadia and Kate) and P*e Wee (with Greyhound Rescue president Nat).

The team at Greyhound Rescue have been working tirelessly to fundraise and network, their hard work has paid off and they are in the process of building the most beautiful premises. Their plans and dreams are so big, and their standard of care is so high, it gives these gorgeous dogs the best chance at the life and love they deserve.

It's been a big, busy few months since COVID started, and so we decided to have a little fun and let our creativity come out. So this week as a treat, we did some DIY icing of some biscuits to relax.

Team activities have been fairly restricted due to social distancing, but we were able to have individual kits set up for each team member so that everyone could have some decorating fun!
