Greetings. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but thought I’d better to keep you updated to ensure your pooches are booked in.

For the past 2.5 months I’ve been grooming in discomfort, turns out (MRI results) that I have a bulging disc C3/4 and C5/6 (this one is pinching a nerve). I’ve tried to continue grooming as much as possible, but also trying not to overdo it, which is why I stopped accepting new clients awhile ago. I don’t want to go down the operation pathway as that will be months off work.
I’m fully booked for July, I can’t “squeeze in” anymore and I’d also like to make sure that I have your pooches booked in for the next few months as I’m off for 3 weeks mid September.

I’ve been a mobile groomer for 14.5 years, around Port Kennedy. I started in a franchise, now on my own. I have 1 Cavoodle, Miss Valentina Rossi, whom I’ve started to do grooming competitions with. This year I will attempt to groom Miss V in Asian Fusion. Normally I class myself as a “Pet Groomer” so doing competitions, is completely out of my comfort zone, but at least I can say that I’ve tried it.
When I’m not grooming and being mum to 4 kids (3 are adults) then I’m riding motorcycles and drag racing one of my bikes at Perth Motorplex. I think being a dog groomer is one of the most rewarding jobs to have, as we get to “play with dogs all day”.�

The silly season has started, this will be the first time in 14 years, I won’t be over booking pooches as I got injured last year from over grooming, the joys of being almost 50.

I was told by a customer, that her dog had a sensitive paw and though they had visited the vet twice, nothing was found. She told me as a warning that her pooch might not let me groom her foot as per normal. When I got her into the trailer, the first thing I did was inspect her paw and straight away noticed she had a broken toe nail. Something the vet should’ve picked up. The owner was relieved that I found out the problem and trimmed up the nail after her groom. Unfortunately the customer had already spent $300 at the vets with no answer 🤷🏻‍♀️
