Harness Racing NSW Rehoming The stepping stone to happy ever after ❤️ We are incredibly proud of the team we have built so far.

Our Retrainers go through a process to receive accreditation, involving an interview, a property inspection, registration of businesses and insurances. Our Retrainers are the heart of this company, working hard every day, caring for and re-educating these wonderful horses and giving their all to life after racing. We are looking to expand our company, particularly in the western districts of the s

tate and south to Goulburn and the Riverina. If you have the facilities, time and experience to dedicate to re-educating Standardbred Racehorses, please get in touch with us at [email protected]. If you adore the smaller, finer types with big hearts and gentle spirits… this darling 3-year-old filly might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for 🥰

✨ About This Sweet Girl:
This lovely young filly has never been trialled or started simply because she hasn’t quite reached the height expected for racing. At only three years of age, she is still developing and will continue to grow up and out — but she’s clearly not destined for the track.

Instead, she’s ready to begin a completely new life, one filled with fun, consistency and a human who enjoys shaping a youngster from the very beginning 🌱💛

She’s a tender, willing, adaptable little soul who tries very hard. Despite limited exposure, she shows a naturally calm and curious temperament and will likely take new experiences in her stride with the right guidance.

So far she:

✔️ Is expected to float well — she’s trusting and people-focused

Because she’s still young and lightly handled, she’ll need an experienced, patient home prepared to nurture her gently and help her grow into herself, physically and mentally. She is truly a blank canvas waiting for someone to guide her with care and compassion 🎨💖

The Harness Racing NSW Re-Homing Team is thrilled to be part of the Wagga Wagga Carnival of Cups on Friday, 14 November 2025, at the Riverina Paceway (92 Cooramin Street, Wagga Wagga)! 🎉

This fantastic event brings together racing, music, and community spirit, making it the perfect stage to celebrate the work of the HRNSW Re-Homing and Welfare Program. 💖

Join Rochelle Toomey, HRNSW Re-Homing Manager, and Maurice Logue, Education & Welfare Manager and founder of Mates 4 Harness while sharing insights into how Standardbreds transition from racing life to loving new homes.💫

It’s the second road trip for the simulator — after being a huge hit at Young and Bribbaree — and it’s back by popular demand! 🙌

Say hello to Our Safari (better known as Lilly 🥰) — a beautiful 14-year-old bay Standardbred mare, standing around 16hh and ready to find her next loving home. Born 16 December 2010, this gorgeous girl has been living her best life with a caring family and is now hoping to meet her perfect match! 💞

She was saddle broken in her earlier years and has even had kids ride her in the past, showing her gentle and patient side 🥰 However, she hasn’t been ridden for a number of years, so she’ll need a kind, experienced person to bring her slowly and gently back into work if that’s the path you’d like to take.
