🗒 Service Report: Group Dog Walking 🗒
"Wowee 😂 we had a bit of a wet Tuesday 😳😏 I thought we'd get it all done before it came in hard but nope sure enough as soon as I had picked up all the doggies and drove to the crematorium we unloaded and bang down she came lol. We were already there and half wet so we just took it on the chin and embraced the lovely rain with lots of running around with each other. Sorry the photos are a bit blurry think the rain was on my cameras lol. 😂😂😂 I can't believe Rosie popped down that rabbit hole you'll see how far she got lol. She's a funny little doggo."

📋Service Report - Smaller Dog Adventure Walk (Leo):

"Today we ended up at 3 different places. I thought we were going to get washed out by the rain, but it held off.

Today's crew had Blue, Romeo, Willow, Savvy, Leo, Leo, Dokkoon, Kulab and Maisey.

Because we had 2 Leo's today, we called Leo little Leo. He had a great walk today.

I picked him up with minimal issues. I sat on the ground and he came up for a sniff and let me put the lead on him.

Leo still doesn't like that van, so on the trip home, he got to ride shotgun with Lily and he seemed better.

Leo very much enjoyed exploring all the new places and he was leading the pack a few times today as he felt confident enough to go ahead of us.

Leo even had a play and chase with Willow today. Romeo is still a little obsessed with him and would go up and try and play. Today Leo tried to play back at times, but Romeo is very quick and springy 🤣"

It's ADVENTURE TIME! 🤩🐾

Our Smaller Dog Adventure Walk is back on this Friday 9th August, 10am-2pm 🐕🐩🐕‍🦺

What does it involve:

☑️ Pick up and drop off at your home (local area only)
☑️ Secure transport to suitable off-leash areas including beaches, bushwalking, and some open fenced spaces (locations will vary based on weather conditions and capabilities of dogs in attendance)
☑️ Off-leash exploring with up to 9 other dogs of similar size
☑️ Clean drinking water and treats
☑️ Two fully trained staff members
☑️ Detailed service report from each walk with full photo gallery

All this for only $55 per dog (incl GST) or or $100 (incl GST) for two dogs from the same household!

Meet Ursula, Our Trusted House Sitter and Pet Care Specialist!

Ursula is our go-to pet sitter, providing dedicated and reliable care for our existing clients' homes and pets. With a background as a skilled career coordinator, Ursula brings exceptional organizational skills and a warm, friendly nature to her role and indeed kept our services running smoothly while Rachel was on maternity leave.

Specializing in one-on-one pet care, Ursula has a unique talent for building trust and discovering each pet's personality and finds joy in connecting with the animals she cares for.

Her favourite time is the first morning of a house sit, where she can establish a bond with the pets.

"Feeding and walking the dog a few times, they gradually begin to reveal their true selves as trust grows," says Ursula.

Service Report from Armstrong Creek Pet Minding: 45 minutes off lead - includes travel to off lead park/area

Visit / Walk Notes:
"Oh, I have missed my Tilly May so so much I haven't seen her in ages and gosh was she excited to see me lol. 🥰🥰 That tail of hers never disappoints. She jumped straight into the car and I got her up on the front seat for pats and scratches while I drove to the crematorium lol. I took her along the little creek and she had a paddle and explore. She got her bouncing run on for me when I said come on tills and if she lost sight of me she'd run fast looking for me 😁 She started to tire when we had about 20mins left but she still pushed on and we just took it slow and at her own pace ☺️"

Meet Jack, our newest Pet Minder!

Jack joined our team last month and has jumped right in to bringing joy and care to every furry friend he meets.

With a background as a community services worker, Jack has extensive experience in homelessness and drug and alcohol counselling. His passion for supporting the community has seamlessly extended into his role here, where he continues to provide outstanding care and companionship for your four-legged family members.

Outside of work, Jack is a talented musician, serving as the bassist and vocalist for a metal band and is also diving into game development. Having moved to Armstrong Creek two years ago with his partner and two dogs, Bandit, a long-haired Chihuahua, and Teddy, a Moodle he absolutely loves the area.

Jack loves meeting all the dogs and cats in the neighbourhood, discovering great walks and beautiful places around the country. The frequent outdoor activities boost his mental health, and the pet cuddles are a wonderful bonus.

Jack lives by the motto, "You are what you love, not what loves you in return."

Service Report (Group Dog Walking): "Theo had a great run with Savvy, Mindy and Rocky today. We went down to the pony club.

What do you get when you have 3 working dogs and 1 Labrador?? Utter chaos 🤣🤣

Rocky tried his best to keep up today and spent alot of time with Sav playing and running.

Theo was super excited running around taking in all the smells. Theo wanted to herd Savvy but became frustrated when he didn't do what he wanted. But he settled quickly and ran around with Sav and Mindy. Sav worked out if he had the ball, Theo and Mindy would chase him. So much running 😅😅"

Meet Lily, Our Pet Minding and Walking Pro! 🐕‍🦺🚶‍♀️

Lily is one of our dedicated pet minders and walkers, providing private walks and home visits to keep your furry friends happy and healthy.

Originally from Bright, Lily worked in hospitality to save up for her move to Geelong for university. She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Forensic Science, majoring in Forensic Biology, and dreams of becoming a crime scene investigator one day. 🕵️

When she's not caring for pets, Lily enjoys painting, reading, going to the gym or for a run, and traveling. What she loves most about her job is the joy and excitement of regular walks with her dog clients, which always puts a smile on her face.

Lily lives by the quote, "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." 🤩

Our first time looking after this good doggo, and we're smitten! 🥰

Service Report (45 minute Home Visit): "George was patiently waiting for me at the back door when I arrived. He was super excited to see me and even more excited when I got the lead out.

We went for a walk along the gravel path. George kept trying to run his halti on everything. Grass, gravel, bark 🤦‍♀️ I told him off a few times. I had 2 people stop and tell me how good he looks ❤️

We got back and he had his dry food and we played some ball out the back. I sat on the deck and he headbutted me in excitement 😅🤦‍♀️

He is so funny. If he could talk I'm sure he would say I like all the things ALL THE TIME!

He would go from chasing the ball to looking for food to pats then back to the ball.

I gave him a couple treats before I left."

Meet Melissa, our behind-the-scenes admin wiz!

Located in Coffs Harbour on the NSW mid-north coast, Melissa is responsible for responding to emails, scheduling bookings, drafting invoices, creating social posts, updating the website and just generally keeping Rachel organised! 🤣🤣

Never one to have just a single thing on the go; when she's not in front of the computer for Armstrong Creek Pet Minding, you might find Mel out teaching sewing lessons with , organising client houses with or wrangling her two kiddos.

Rocky is a gorgeous boy, but gets super nervous around other dogs. Rachel is working to improve his confidence in the hope that he'll be able to join group walks soon 💜💜

Service Report (Private Dog Walk, 45 minutes): "Rocky was excited to see me. I put on his collar and lead and we went into the driveway where Sav was waiting in the van.

Rocky needs lots of reassurance that he is a good boy and doing the right thing. Sav was in the crate and Rocky and I sat in the back so he could be comfortable with Sav.

Initially he was obviously unsure and skittish, but he settled nicely.

After that, I got Sav out and tethered him to the back then Rocky and I walked past.
Again Rocky was skittish and very unsure and he would react when Sav barked or moved quickly.

Then we went back to the first set up and Rocky was more confident.

Then we went for a little drive on neutral territory and tried again. This time Rocky was in the crate and Sav was out. Rocky was unsure but not reactive when Sav got close to the crate.

I put Sav back in the van so Rocky could have a run and chase of the ball to end what would be a pretty mentally draining session for him.

I think he did well. I am happy to try again next week, and he should be better."

Meet Rachel, the heart and brains behind ACPM!

Rachel has been an animal lover since bringing home her first dog, Peppi, who showed her the unconditional love that animals can bring to our lives. It was her love for Peppi, and later Mindy, that motivates her to ensure that all animals in our care are consistently being loved and looked after at the highest level. 🥰

Rachel launched Armstrong Creek Pet Minding in 2019 as a side hustle to her nursing career. Recognizing the growing demand for her services, she dedicated her full attention to the growth of the business in 2021, to the point where nursing is now her side hustle. She loves working with her amazing staff and spending her days caring for happy animals and happy owners, “I can honestly say I feel more gratitude from looking after people’s fur babies than I got while nursing.” 🐈

Did you know: Rachel has been President of the Barwon Dodgeball Association since it’s inception in 2014. 🏐 She spent 4 years in the Women’s Australian Dodgeball team and travelled to the USA twice and to Hong Kong to play with the team. She has a Silver Medal from Las Vegas in 2015 and a Bronze Medal from Los Angeles in 2018. 🥈🥉

So what’s next: Rachel’s vision is to be a trusted a reliable name in the community, offering peace of mind and affordable services – to be THE company that locals go to when they need pet minding or walking services. She is super keen to expand the Adventure Walk service to be even bigger and better – it is her favourite thing to have dogs off lead and playing and happy! 🐕🐩

As the chill of winter sets in, we’re reminded of the warmth and comfort our furry friends bring into our lives.

Unfortunately, not all pets have a cozy home to curl up in during the cold months. That’s where we come in! This winter, we’re rallying our wonderful community to support The Yellow Door - Rescue and Rehoming and Waggin Tails Animal Rescue by donating essential items to keep our local shelter pets warm and happy.

How You Can Help: We’re collecting donations throughout June to support these amazing local rescues. Here’s what you can contribute:

🛏Bedding and Blankets: Help keep our furry friends warm and snug.

🛒Food: Every little bit helps to keep those tummies full.

🧸Toys: Bring a bit of joy and playtime to pets waiting for their forever homes.
