Meet MANGO๐งก๐
Mango is a 1 year old Dingo mix with a big personality and VERY quick reflexes!
As a result, she is pretty fun to train, although you have to be quick too at times.
At the moment Mango...

๐Pulls VERY hard on lead
๐Is a selective listener ๐
๐And may just choose to do her own thing instead of what you want
Mango's owners dream of a dog who will be calm and relaxed around other dogs (she gets very fixated on other dogs) and also to be easy to take out and have around people.
Change is just around the corner! Mango is already on her way to being a dream dog. ๐

"We are so glad we signed up with Frances for help with Sarge and Maiya. Sarge had a lot of trust issues with visitors to our home, Frances has helped us to understand his behaviour and given us the right tools to help Sarge understand not all visitors are a threat.
Maiya did not like to see other dogs when we walked and would often react by lunging and barking at them, Frances has shown us very effective techniques to teach Maiya that other dogs are ok.
Both of them improved so much in the time we have worked with Frances and we continue to implement what we have been taught to help out dogs have a wonderful life and better understanding of the world around us. Sarge and Maiya both loved Frances and would get so excited to see her.
She is a wonderful dog trainer and I would highly recommend her if you are needing help with your best friends behaviour ๐พ"

I don't normally enjoy shopping, but Head to Tail Pets is the one place I often find myself trying to find an excuse to visit.
I took Bonnie in for her very first pet store visit today, and not only did we get our socialisation training and shopping done, but she also got loads of pats and love and a massive puppy pack to take home!

If your dog can stomach dairy, this is the easiest treat idea and it's super high value for most dogs.
Once you've done the prep, these packs will last you for weeks and all you have to do is grab and go!
Usually five slices of cheese will last me a full outing with a dog...crumble it small. ๐

She is a very sweet-natured girl who loooves her humans and is a fast learner!
She has a lot of sass, so sometimes training can be complicated because she wants things HER way ๐.
But I'm pleased to say that Zuri is soon going to have picked up everything we set out to learn...

Meet KOSMO โฝ๏ธ
Kosmo is a 5 year old Bull Arab who seems to have inherited more of the Grey Hound side of things! (Photos in the comments!)
He is an absolutely lovable boy who just wants cuddles and love and he is also so SO smart. ๐ฅฐ
He pours himself heart and soul into his training and after just one week of work, look what his mum taught him!!! โจโฌ๏ธโจ Even though he loves his food, he is learning to listen and think when he's excited.
His biggest struggle is that he doesn't know what to do when he sees another dog. He gets very anxious and it is scary for his owners because he's such a strong boy.
I can't wait to start working with Josey the helper dog to help Kosmo relax around other dogs!

Paige reached out for help, because Bean used to snarl and lunge at dogs and young children they encountered on walks around town and in the bush.
This made walks VERY stressful for Paige, especially as Bean is a big strong girl.
But now Bean is calm and relaxed around the things that used to worry her.
๐ฅณThey can pass dogs on walks without Bean having a melt down, and Paige feels so much safer to go out with her beautiful girl.๐ฅณ
Their progress is SO amazing and I enjoyed every moment of working with them! ๐ถ
Meet POPPY ๐ฅฐ
๐Isn't she a sweetheart!!! ๐
Poppy used to be an easy going dog until she got attacked by two dogs much bigger than herself within the space of a few months.
Since then, she has been terrified of ANY new dogs no matter how far away they are. ๐ข
She literally screams and yanks on the lead and can't calm down... It's horrible!
But just look at her progress!
โญ๏ธAfter just a few lessons, Poppy is SO much more relaxed! โญ๏ธ
There is a little way to go yet, but she is well and truly on her way back to her old self. ๐ฅณ
โจThe beautiful Mindy has finished her training program! What a starโจ
Her owners tell me they thoroughly enjoyed the process...and so did I!
โญ๏ธ Mindy no longer pulls on the lead like a steam train
โญ๏ธ Her mum can take her running and know she'll stay by her side
โญ๏ธ She doesn't beg when guests come over because she is happy to rest on her bed
โญ๏ธ She's even able to stop her repetitive stick finding and just be a dog!

Meet WILLIE ๐ถ๐งก
Joyful, handsome, loving and has the most wonderful nose!
Willie (8 months) is one of those dogs who is happy all the time! He gets very wriggly and bouncy when he sees people and wants to make friends with EVERY single dog - even the grumpy ones.
๐He pulls on walks because he wants to get to every single smell there is!
๐He struggles to focus if you call him to come, because there is so much out there he wants to do!
But at the same time, Willie is an eager learner. He is quickly getting the idea of NOT pulling and is steadily getting more reliable at coming back.
This puppy has very good brains, and I'm loving every moment of teaching him how to use them and how to make good decisions that will keep him safe. He is going to be a โญ๏ธ.
Meet DAISY! ๐ท ๐พ
Daisy is a farm puppy with loads of room to explore, and lots of interesting animals to interact with! She looooves chasing things and working dog instincts run strong in her veins.
The trouble is that it means she struggles to listen when there is something - anything - MOVING. She just wants to fixate and CHASE!
So Daisy is learning lots of exciting new skills such as...
โจBeing able to DISENGAGE from an animal she's watching
โจBeing able to COME when she's called even if she's about to chase something
โจBeing able to be trusted OFF LEAD because she won't obsess over sheep, cats, roos and ducks in the first place!
Daisy is a quick learner despite not being at all food motivated originally and has already come a long way!
I can't wait to see all that her and her owners will achieve together! ๐ฅณ

Meet OBI ๐๐๏ธ
Obi is a Bull Terrier x Aussie Shepherd and although he pretends to be dumb sometimes, he is actually a VERY smart pup.
The challenging side of Obi? Well, he's a puppy so .... he eats everything - and I mean actually eats, he jumps on people and he has SO much energy!
The wonderful side of Obi? He is incredibly photogenic ๐, is quickly learning to be a calm relaxed dog at home and just adores people.
He does struggle to listen to his family when they go out and see another person though. But as he continues to grow up we'll be teaching him all the skills he needs to be a lovely easy dog to own no matter where his family take him!
I can't wait to see what the future holds for special little (or not so little) Obi! ๐
