Farmhouse Pet Treats was founded in our hometown of Yass NSW in 2019 with the aim of bringing the best Australian-made pet treats to the market at a great price. Today we continue to build a loyal customer base, adding new high-quality treat lines in response to their requests. Our baked treats are hand-made in Yass NSW; dog cookies, donuts, crazy bones, birthday cakes, and more. We stock a wide r

ange of premium Australian dried meat treats – including beef, chicken, crocodile, fish, kangaroo, lamb, pork, and sheep. We have treats for dogs and cats, as well as horses, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, and more. We’re proud to be growing and employing in our local area, and buying our ingredients as close to Yass as possible to support those surrounding small businesses and communities. We look forward to providing you with the best pet treats possible.

Our second new product of 2025, Lamb puff is a puffed version of our incredibly popular lamb crumble. Being a cube is great for dental health, as when the dog bites on a piece it helps clean around the tooth.

While our online store is still busy packing and sending orders, our production crew is back from the 6th to restock shelves with your favourite products. Some items may be out of stock for a week or so as we catch up. We also have some exciting new products coming :)

The Capital Region Farmers Market, Canberra return Saturday 11 January and we'll be there, and the monthly Railway Museum Artisan Markets Yass will be on Sunday 26 January.

About us

Farmhouse Pet Treats was founded in 2019 by Andrew (with Nala). Andrew was gearing up through 2018-2019 to launch ‘The Gourmet Pasta Factory’ in Yass when the kitchen he was to be based out of was sold, and the new owners declined to have him work from the premises. That left him with a large amount of whole-wheat flour that was to be the basis of his ‘farmhouse pasta’ range.

The following weekend he was baking some treats for Nala when it dawned on him… pet treats! Having made treats for Nala, and his previous dog Jessie, for years it was a natural fit of Andrew’s cooking skills, food technology knowledge, and love of dogs.

Andrew and Nala perfected recipes throughout 2019, and in November trialed the concept at the Murrumbateman Farmers Markets as Farmhouse Pet Treats. The response was huge, almost selling out on the first day with a range of only five treat products. Andrew was joined by Ebony (with Luna) to grow the business. New treat lines were added, and new markets attended.

Today Farmhouse Pet Treats has more than 35 treat lines, many made at the actual farmhouse in Yass, with more coming. As of August 2020, Farmhouse Pet Treats has Andrew and three part-time staff to bake treats, bag treats, pack internet orders, and attend markets.
