Hi all,
You have likely heard on the news about the closure of a microchip storage company, HomeSafeID.
As per The Cat Protection Society "In NSW microchip implanters are required to enter microchip numbers and pet's detail in the NSW Pet Registry soon after they are microchipped. As this article explains HomeSafeID is an independent privately owned registry, and this closure is most likely to impact pets microchipped in other states".
Also, just a reminder to please note your animal's microchip details somewhere safe and easily accessible in case they are ever needed and please also ensure your details are up to date when you move, change phone numbers etc so you can be contacted easily. Thanks!
If you would like to check your animal's details, please go to the NSW Pet Registry https://www.petregistry.olg.nsw.gov.au/
Cheers,
Regina 😺

Pet owners across Australia are being urged to check their pet's microchip number and find out if they are affected by the potential closure of a major registration provider.
