What's Up PussyCat? Regina can help you with cat behavioural issues, kitten / cat training and cat feeding. Does your cat have behavioural issues?

It may not seem like it at times, but cats that have behavioural issues are not acting out of spite - there is usually a valid reason for their behaviour. Like humans, cats may face different challenges and needs at different times of their lives and when they do, they need your understanding and assistance. I can help identify the cause of the behavioural issue and give you techniques and strateg

ies to help with the issue. I also offer kitten and cat training, cat feeding services, and can give you tips on how to ensure your home is cat-friendly so your cat is kept mentally and physically stimulated.

RIP Dex 💜💔

On Monday, my lovely client had to make the hardest decision and say goodbye to her beautiful boy, Dex, due to medical issues that he had been struggling with for a long time. Always, a difficult decision, but made with kindness and love for Dex.

My client met Dex when he was brought into the vet clinic where she worked as a stray. Dex was 8 years old and my client gave him a wonderful loving home for the last two years where he lived like a King, with so much love around him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dex and his other gorgeous feline friends around a year ago and he was a sweetie.

Thanks to my lovely client for saving Dex and showing him true love.

URGENT - A lovely client is trying to locate a much-loved beautiful barn cat called Smokey that lives at her work. Smokey stowed away in a produce truck and was last seen running across a vacant lot behind CONDELL PARK Produce. Please contact Karen on 0430135810 or the produce if you see her 💔 She is a barn cat, 25 km from home and has never seen busy streets before.

Or, if anyone knows anyone who lives around Condell Park or any feeders of colonies around the area, please ask them to keep an eye out for Smokey as everyone is missing her and wants her home soon!

Thanks,
Regina

Happy new year to you all! What better way to start the year than with my gorgeous cat clients, Walnut & Jolene! 😻😻

When I went over and met my lovely clients and their beautiful cats, my clients had done a great job of introducing their resident cat, Walnut, to their new kitten, Jolene which was great! However, Walnut is a big boy and was so excited to have a new friend he would play rough, which was a bit much for Jolene at times.

Fast forward and my clients have done more great work! Jolene really enjoys playing with Walnut and initiates play and has lots of fun. Walnut is still a lot bigger than Jolene and at times she may get a little overwhelmed, but there is a lot of trust and a lovely friendship and they are besties; so lovely to see! 💜💜

A big thanks to my wonderful clients for giving Jolene a loving home and the gift of Walnut and Jolene being able to share life and an amazing friendship full of play, cat tv looking outside at the world from their apartment, cuddles, mutual grooming and lots of relaxing cat naps! Living the life!

To my fellow cat-lovers,

Thanks to you all for all your support in 2024 and I hope that 2025 is filled with love, laughter, good health and CATS! 😻

For my clients reading this - thanks for the love and care that you show your cats; it warms my heart. You are wonderful and it has been a pleasure helping you and your gorgeous cats! 💜

For those of you who live with cats, dogs, bunnies, birds and any other non-humans who may find fireworks a bit scary, please consider the following tips tonight:

1. Create a safe space for your loved one which may include providing a hiding spot/retreat and consider playing some calming music (if they like it). Some animals may find a positive distraction welcome with play if they don't want to retreat; and/or your company for reassurance.

2. Please ensure your animal's microchip details are up to date and that your home/property is secure.

3. Offer a play to help change your animal's mood state into a good mood state so they may be calmer later on when hearing fireworks and other loud noises.

Wildlife and other animals also suffer and become scared during the fireworks, so please keep an eye out for anyone that may be distressed and contact your local wildlife / animal rescue if need be.

Here are some other tips: https://animalsaustralia.org/latest-news/new-years-eve-fireworks/

Thanks again and wishing you all a happy end to 2024 and start to 2025!

Cheers,
Regina

Please meet my beautiful cat clients and new besties, Maple & Mia! 😻😻

My lovely clients contacted me a few months ago as they were thinking of adopting a feline friend for their gorgeous two year old ginger girl, Maple! As Maple had been a single cat since being adopted as a three month old kitten, we discussed the draft introduction plan along with Maple in general as she can initially be a little bit of a timid girl at times. I love being asked to help before clients adopt or bring their new kitten/cat home! 😺

Around mid-October little cutie Mia was adopted and my clients did a great job of doing a slow introduction; ensuring Maple was coping ok with Mia's arrival, whilst having fun getting to know Mia who has lots of great kitty energy! After about a month, Maple and Mia were free roaming and playing and having lots of fun together and are now little besties as you can see! 💜💜

A huge thank you to my wonderful clients who have been so amazingly organised and have shown such love, patience and support to their girls throughout the introduction process - I am so happy for this beautiful family!

Happy Tuxedo cat day! 😻💜

Here is our beautiful grey and white tuxedo boy, Tetu, who we shared our hearts and lives with for around 16 years. Along with our beautiful, black and white tuxedo girl, Chrissy, who sadly was only with us for a few wonderful years. Wish we had longer. Both forever loved and missed 💜💜

I would love to see photos of your beautiful tuxies - feel free to post in comments! Regina 😻

Urgent - a reminder that submissions for the inquiry re Management of cat populations in NSW close tomorrow, Friday 22 November. Please consider taking a few minutes now or tonight to make a submission - just a sentence such as "Cat welfare is a priority and humane management practices need to be supported; including desexing and education" would be amazing and a huge help for cats! https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/committees/inquiries/Pages/inquiry-details.aspx?pk=3011 -termsofreference

Thanks in advance,
Regina 💜
P.S Photo of our cats, Karma & Star and Amber & Onyx who likely wouldn't be here if these laws were in place when they were rescued years ago 💜😻

RIP Choupette (aka Choupie - gorgeous Cornish Rex) 💜💔

I met gorgeous Choupie and her beautiful bestie, Lollipop (Lolli), when I visited them and my lovely clients around five weeks ago as Choupie was having some litter tray issues. Sadly, Choupie had some health issues and late last week her loving family had to say goodbye so she was no longer suffering. Such a difficult decision; kindest for Choupie, but of course so heartbreaking for her family. Lolli is missing and grieving Choupie too.

Beautiful Choupie was such a sweet girl and I feel for my clients and Lolli losing a beloved family member. My heart goes out to them all 💜

Instead of demonising cats and cats then suffering cruel and inhumane methods, it would be better to legalise TNR (Trap, neuter and release ), more funding for desexing and education programs.

https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/committees/inquiries/Pages/inquiry-details.aspx?pk=3011 -submissions

This is important. Please share. Your cats life may depend on it.

Recently the NSW Government quietly posted an inquiry into Cat Population management. There was very little information released except a one page terms of reference.

If you care about cats, you cant let this go unnoticed and you should respond, and think not only of yourself or your cats, but the other cat owners and people who are not as fortunate as you.

2 years ago a man in North NSW happily caught his neighbors cat, he posted a video online of him trapping then drowning the cat in a wheelie bin. He posted the whole thing delightfully on social media.

This is what happens when people see words like "cat curfews".

This inquiry will have a deluge of responses from people who want to harm cats. Though the enquiry likely means well, and is seeking community response, these can also be a magnet for people who would happily take your cat and drown it.

If this is done wrong, the pounds and shelters will be overloaded (as will we) with cats, and tens of thousands will die.

So we encourage you to have your say, and expand the brief beyond curfews and into other important areas of community,

- The legalisation of TNR Programs, and support for the rescuers that focus on reducing colony sizes.

- Implementation of funding support for rescuers that run desexing programs.

- Ways to take assertive action with cat hoarding without punishing the cats.

- Improvements to education and support in areas that have religious, socio economic or other drivers that bring population challenges.

Please make your submission directly to the NSW Government here. https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/committees/inquiries/Pages/inquiry-details.aspx?pk=3011 -submissions

We dont recommend doing this via an aggregator, local member or council as you need to be sure that your voice is heard, directly.
