Dog Parkour Certified Trainer One of the two certified trainers in Australia is based in the Barossa Valley, South Australia Dog parkour combines elements of human parkour and dog agility to create an accessible activity for dogs and humans alike. Dogs are introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing over, crawling under, and going around different obstacles in their everyday world. Parkour can be done anywhere and is limited only by one’s imagination. Dog parkour helps with confidence and overcoming fears, and it is a low impact but challenging activity for any canine athlete. What is Dog Parkour?  Dog Parkour is Urban Agility.  Easy and free to learn by using environmental objects along your walk.  Europe have been exposing their dogs to this fun activity for many years, now it is our turn!  Rules: the human provides the safe environment and your dog dictates the challenge, they are rewarded for their decision. Benefits – Fearful dogs learn to focus on their body awareness, their balance and interaction with you instead of fearing their surroundings. This all takes place at their pace and reward is for effort, not outcome. Caution – The activities must align with their fitness level, age and size. Start with basic skills as it would be easy to stress limbs and spine.
