🚨 Scammers have been spotted on TikTok who are using our logo to steal puppy deposit money from people, mostly in the U.S. We ask anyone with a TikTok account to please report the user "" in the hopes that we can save as many people as possible from falling victim to these scumbags, especially in the lead-up to Christmas. 🚨

Just a day ago, our reviews were at 100% from happy clients, but due to a targeted attack from one individual, they've dropped to 66%.

We want to take a moment to address the recent targeting by multiple pages linked to a Cane Corso breeder in Fiji, who is defending the individual who sold Varan to us without disclosing his underlying health conditions **see older post**. We have reported these issues to the appropriate channels, and we want to be clear: we will not be intimidated by bullying or harassment.

In response to the barrage of negative reviews from this individual using multiple pages linked to his personal account, I want to clarify that I did meet Varan in person prior to purchase. Due to the excitement of acquiring my first champion import, I trusted the individual who presented himself as my “friend and mentor.” I drove 12 hours to pick him up personally, only to return home and discover that his teeth were falling out.

Ultimately, I was betrayed for greed and sold a dying dog.

It’s evident to us who is behind these attacks, and their tracks are clear. Hiding behind old pages to publicly harass me, only highlights your weak character. If you have an issue, have the courage to confront me directly.

We are confident breeders and committed to upholding integrity within our community. We believe in transparency, which is why our reviews remain open for all to see. It’s important to remember that those who resort to negativity often do so out of their own insecurities.

We stand firm against bullying and harassment in any form. We will always advocate for ourselves and what’s right. To those who attempt to bring us down: we are not afraid, and we will continue to rise above.

Throughout this year, I have received information from several breeders, both domestically and internationally, as well as from clients and various potential customers, regarding a certain individual who is circulating defamatory misinformation about a situation that occurred quite some time ago. I initially tried to stay quiet on the matter, but after hearing negative comments in recent months, I feel it's important to share our experience and raise awareness about breeder transparency when purchasing a dog. Unfortunately, there are times when financial gain takes precedence over the well-being of animals, leaving both owners and their beloved pets to suffer the consequences of undisclosed health issues. By speaking out, I hope to shine a light on this issue and encourage responsible practices that prioritise fairness and transparency when selling or purchasing a dog.

A few years ago, we purchased a mature Cane Corso, Varan—a European import with a beautiful soul whom we fell absolutely in love with—from a local interstate breeder we believed to be reputable and trustworthy, who was selling him to us as a presumably healthy stud. However, it wasn’t long before we discovered that Varan had several serious, undisclosed health issues. Just two hours after his arrival, his lower canine fell out due to severe decay. A visit to the vet the next day revealed that two more teeth needed immediate extraction. Two weeks later, after running several tests on a lump we had discovered on the side of his body, he was diagnosed with cancer.

Tragically, Varan (28.06.14 – 14.04.22) had to be euthanised, passing away at just 7 years and 9 months. Although we were blessed to have him with us for 12 precious months, his time was cut devastatingly short. The financial burden from extensive vet bills we faced while trying to save his life could have been avoided with proper transparency regarding his actual health. In hindsight, I recognise that I was naive not to follow the necessary steps when purchasing a stud dog, and I regret ignoring the red flags I encountered because I was too trusting.

Whether you’re considering purchasing or adopting an older dog from a national or international source, I strongly urge you to be cautious. Ask all the right questions, insist on full health records, and if possible, have the dog evaluated by a trusted vet before making any commitments. Ensuring the welfare of your selection and protecting yourself from the heartache that comes with misleading information is vital. Here are some important steps you can take to safeguard your decision:

1. Research the Breeder: Look for reviews and testimonials from previous buyers. A reputable breeder will have a history of satisfied customers.

2. Request Health Records: Insist on seeing full health records, including any past medical issues, vaccinations, and genetic testing results.

3. Schedule a Vet Evaluation: If possible, have the dog examined by a trusted veterinarian before finalising the purchase. This can help uncover any existing health issues.

4. Ask About the Dog’s Background: Enquire about the dog’s lineage, previous living conditions, and any known health issues in the family line.

5. Visit the Breeder’s Facility: If you can, visit the breeder's location to observe the conditions in which the dogs are raised. Look for cleanliness, proper care, and socialisation.

6. It is crucial to maintain a transparent record of the entire transaction by establishing a written email or messaging trail. Any attempt to conduct the entire deal exclusively through phone calls should be viewed with caution and considered a potential red flag.

7. Trust Your Instincts: If something feels off or if you’re met with resistance when asking for information, consider it a red flag and reassess your decision.

By taking these proactive measures, you can help ensure that you’re making a well-informed choice for both you and your future pet. The welfare of your selection is paramount, and being diligent can help prevent heartache down the line.

I received a condescending question in the comments regarding the legitimacy of my ethical practices as a breeder, specifically asking why I would consider breeding Varan given his condition.

The tumor extracted from the side of his body was sent for testing, and he had undergone a complete DNA test, with all results indicating he was clear of hereditary issues. My vet approved the planned matings, so knowing that I would not receive a full refund for the dog, I decided to proceed with breeding.

Varan, a titled champion from exceptional lineage, was purchased at a premium price with the intention of using him in my breeding program. The issue I’ve highlighted is the undisclosed illnesses he arrived with, coupled with the poor conditions that were impossible to overlook. He had three rotted teeth seeping pus, that was emitting a foul odor, and a large lump on his side. Any caring pet owner would have recognised a fraction of what Varan was enduring. Any ethical breeder would not have sold him at such a high price in that condition and would have offered an immediate refund upon the discovery.
