Maddie has been having lessons with Coach Caitlin on Pumpkin weekly. 4 weeks ago she was too nervous to even trot after some bad falls elsewhere. On Friday during the lesson Caitlin checked in with how Maddies bravery muscle was feeling, she said “medium large”.

Anne started leasing with us 3 months ago, she was a beginner and we matched her with our beautiful, Willow. She has come leaps and bounds and has learnt everything from correct grooming practices, in-hand work, lunging techniques as well as ridden work
Initially, she was worried about the distance coming from Sydney but says “it’s the best thing she could have done”. Expressing that it’s worth the travel, not only for the riding but for the friendly, non-judgemental riding community at Heartland
Anne is now confident enough to be riding out with the ladies on the weekends exploring the property and is competing in our upcoming dressage fun day!

I can’t tell you the amount of times Scott has got off this girl, I ask him how the ride went and with watery eyes, he tries to find the words for the euphoria he’s just experienced
Scott bred Lulu and their connection is second to none, when you watch this pair together you don’t feel like talking. It’s like their energy fills the space and you just want to stop and take it all in
Their connection is what sparked my love for this sport and hunger to find a connection close to that, so, from me to you, thank you Lulu (Lu-bear to me)

✨ LEASE PROGAM ✨
Our community of lease riders are coached classically, the only classical lease horse program in Australia. Often, unlike other lease arrangements, the horses are educated, they are working in a frame and have developed lateral work. Lease riders will be coached under Scott Brodie and have weekly private lessons, to provide consistency to both the horse and rider
The environment is very unique and even though you have 1 official lesson you have instructors around majority of the time to ask questions too.
Our leasing program was created so that committed riders can have the opportunity to develop their own level of knowledge and skills on the same horse and develop a partnership with them.
Based off testimonials, the magic in leasing with us is the community, you are supported and in a non-judgemental environment where you will feel comfortable, everyone is always happy to help. We experience the lows together and celebrate the highs, we value this sense of community at our barn and it is what makes it such a unique program.
Benefits:
- 1 x weekly private lesson with a Heartland trainer, Scott, Caitlin or Ebony
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings, squad training is held and open to all lease riders at no extra cost
- Each horse has their own fitted tack: saddle, bridle and rugs
- Sharing: You share with 1 other rider and determine a riding roster (weekend days are split)
- Horses are on full care agistment so poo picking, feeding and rugging is taken care of by staff
- Vet care / bills covered by Heartland
