Little Teddy has had a big couple of days. After ensuring his seizures were identified and controlled, it was time for his dental and to see what was going on in there. To say he was reluctant to let anyone look, is an understatement. As is the case with most dogs with Teddy's issue, his teeth had very little to hold too, so he lost 11 teeth. The absolute legends @nicklinwayvetsurgery under the care of Dr Dani and Dr Doug, realised that poor little Teddy's lower jaw hadn't fused, ultimately working as two separate parts, which would of caused him a lot of discomfort. They quickly jumped in to action and performed the delicate procedure of wiring poor little 2.4kg Teddy's jaw together. A little swollen and feeling very sorry for himself, he is back home and recuperating with his jaw wired for several weeks, with lots of nurse care from his little sidekick Lola.

To keep the sanctuary safe and beautiful for our residents, a lot of time is spent on paddock management. It is one of the many jobs here that doesn't get shown, due to it not being particularly glamorous, but makes a huge difference to the well-being of the animals here. The only problem is trying to do it without help, thanks Merle 😂❤️

From that to this. Poppy was diagnosed with Liver Shunt, Uveitis, Hip Displaysia and Patella issues but despite almost losing her, she is now thriving and keeping the boys in check. When Teddy arrived he was having pretty traumatic seizures, that were making him so unhappy and frightened. Fast forward to today and we now have them under control. However, we always make sure after mornng medications for him and all the crew, the day always starts slow for him.
