Introducing the VetCheck 24/7 Management Team Vol #2
Part two of our Meet the Team series highlighting our dedicated management team of veterinary professionals. We are all experienced in the industry and know what it’s like to have to manage a heavy caseload, plus the demands of running a business. We are here and ready to help!
Check back in the upcoming weeks, to meet the compassionate and skilled nurses and vets who are always ready to assist with your pet’s needs. They’re here to provide the expert care and understanding you and your pets deserve.
Australian Vet Nurse Manager - Jaimi
Jaimi started on a different path, graduating uni and working in the television industry as a producer & production manager. That was until travel saw her to a lion conservation project in Zimbabwe, as a horse riding guide in the Chilean Andes, and on a television shoot at Australia Zoo. She was left with no choice but to follow her heart and relocated from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast with her husband Ben and began her nursing clinical career there.
Having experienced everything from GP, ECC and Specialist nursing, she now resides in Hobart with her menagerie of pets. When she’s not working, she’s hiking somewhere in the wilderness, hanging upside down at aerial yoga, trying not to kill my indoor plant collection, and listening to heavy metal music.
With degrees in Communications, a Cert IV in Film & TV, and a Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, Recover CPR Basic and Advanced Life Support course, and recently having provided consultancy services on the animal care industry in the education sector, Jaimi is excited to be part of this evolutionary phase where we look at different ways of working for Vet people and businesses.
Client Partnership Representative and Synegiser: Tanya
While studying Animal Science and Management at Melbourne Uni, Tanya started in her first role in the vet industry, one she finally landed after five applications! A perfect example of the tenacity, head-down-bum-up and collaborative attitude which also saw her work her way up from trainee nurse, to senior nurse before moving into the business administration side. She took the opportunity to combine her passion for animal (and human!) nutrition and clinical research with her newfound interest in business to work with Hill’s, where she had incredible five years of collaboration with stakeholders in every size and scale of Veterinary business. She recalls with a certain degree of trauma-tinged pride, the four months spent managing the vet clinic at a street dog charity in Sri Lanka which undertakes emergency veterinary care as well as housing over 1200 dogs and 120 cats on site in free-roaming packs!
An avid traveller, she lusts for the excitement of once again jumping on a one-way flight to an exotic destination - something that will have to wait as she is currently a busy working mum of two. Residing on Victoria’s beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Tanya throws the kids and husband in their camper as often as she can to get out camping and exploring. In her limited spare time, Tanya is either at the F45 gym, in the garden, grabbing coffee/wine or dancing with friends!
Tanya loves collaborating with businesses and believes in the magic of a real conversation! She’s excited to help more clinics lighten their load with VetCheck 24/7.

Medechat - Veterinary care, anytime, anywhere.
Work from home or the vet surgery and connect with your patients when they need you. Medechat has researched the most stable platform to provide consistent, reliable video quality for online consultations - and it’s Vet Board compliant.
Revolutionise your Vet Practice today with Medechat developed by a real Australian Vet, Dr Moss Siddle.
“There is a crisis in the veterinary industry worldwide. There are record levels of disenchantment soon after graduation, rates of su***de 4x the level of the general population, stressful work environments, demanding pet owners, inflexible and long working hours plus low rates of comparative professional pay.”
Dr Moss Siddle, and Australian Vet, has set out to deliver a reliable, functional and user-friendly platform for progressive veterinarians / specialists and customers (pet owners / GP veterinarians) to communicate and consult.
“Medechat may help to reduce a lot of the pressures encountered as a working vet and/or business owner. Currently video consultation vets (overseas) are affiliated with insurance companies and are bypassing the regular vets of pet owners. A video consultation can never replace hands-on examination of an ill or injured pet, but Medechat will be useful for assessing remote patients unable to access a veterinarian in person and offers staff flexible hours or work from home.” said Dr Moss.
“It will also enable pet owners convenient access to low cost professional advice, drive clinic visits and prevent clients from seeking independent video consultation or advice from Dr Google!”
Keep your clients asking your vets for advice!
Dr Moss Siddle started working in outback Australia as a cattle and horse vet in 1992. He then worked in the UK for 3 years in various large and small animal practices before establishing Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre in the beautiful eastern outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. With the advent of smartphones Dr Moss produced a free pet care app in 2012 called VetCheck which has over 10,000 installations. Medechat is how Dr Moss sees the future of veterinary medicine.
Dr Moss is also on the executive committee of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) Victorian division as well as the advisory committee of the AVA Veterinary Business Group.
