9 year old Hanes is settling beautifully into his new home after being collected by his adopted over the weekend.
“He’s fitting in so well. He was so brave to introduce himself to the dogs. It was unplanned and I was very nervous when he suddenly showed up infront of the dogs. Then he would let them sniff him really close. I hope they will all become bestfriends one day.” 💕 we knew Hanes was a dog lover because we know his history with dogs. Something tells us, they’re all going to get along great. 🏡💕

Finn is a gentle man. He is part Siamese, so his fur is white with black tips. Finn loves to play with his toys, he will come and get you to play with him. He will drop and roll for belly pats and chin scratches.

Finn is a great ratter. Too many rodents at home? Problem solved. He hasn't been interested in birds, he has never brought one home.

If you want a couch buddy, it's Finn. He will sleep on his blanket and make biscuits, get up for head bumps and loves chin scratches. 💕

Finn is a very gentle soul, other cats tend to sense this and pick on him. He would prefer to be a single cat.

Tia- white kitten is a very loving playful little girl full of energy and loves to play with her brothers and sisters. She is very affectionate and greets you when you walk in the door. You can hear her loud purr while she cuddles up to you.

Mia- is identical to Tia. She loves to play with her toys and with her siblings. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle up in your arms and on your lap. She has a loud purr when she is sleeping.

Millie- this cutie has large eyes and is so loving. She has alot of affection. She loves to play with her brothers and sisters and always wants to cuddle up on your lap and has a loud purr too.

Leo- is a beautiful little boy, he’s always being cheeky and sneaking up on his sisters to play with them. He is very affectionate and wants to be close and sleep on your lap or a comfy cushion near by.

These sweet babies are all good with other cats, they all love playing with each other, playing hide and seek, chasing their toy mouse and soft balls.

🏡💚 Ever heard of Litter Mate Syndrome?

Pepper developed Littermate Syndrome suddenly and aggressively toward her litter brother, who she’d grown up with. It is not uncommon for dogs to develop Littermate Syndrome. When it happens, it is tragic and often requires one to be rehomed to keep them safe. That’s what happened to Pepper. Her humans were devastated but preferred to see her happy in a new home rather than face the imminent alternative.

We knew Pepper would love another fur companion and a human who was around more often than not. So we matched her with Totem and her human.

"Pepper is loving life. She settled in; it took a little while, but she has not left my side in the past year. She has her sister Totem, the German Shepherd. They are with me 24 hours a day—at work, in the car, and sleeping next to me in their beds at night," said Pepper's adopter when we caught up for Pepper's 1 Year Adoption Anniversary - Gotcha Day.

Before & After

2.5 years ago our founder Donna, opened her home to dozens of animals in need when the Northern NSW floods devastated the region. Her barn housed up to 30 cats at once. Our volunteers gathered donations of food, litter boxes, cat carriers and dog crates to help the cats safely exist together until we could get them new, permanent homes, as they could never return to where they came from. Their homes were gone and their humans estranged too. Among these cats was a mother and her few-week-old kittens. Two of those kittens were Ronnie and Reggie, two peas in a pod. Always united. Growing together, first steps together, exploring together, feeding together. We decided, if possible, to have them adopted together when it was time to leave their Mum. They were adopted together into a loving home, collected from a pop-up that Donna ran in Northern NSW every week for a couple months, for pre-adopted cats. These pop ups helped us disperse the cats into regions that weren’t flooded or that had recovered enough to adopt.

Today, we received an update on this now 2.5-year-old united pair. They’re huge, doing wonderfully, still doing everything together, and grateful to be doing life together.

“They still love each other,” shared their adopter. "I’m glad I got both.”

Billy is a sweet cat that everyone who meets him adores. He has been an inside/outside cat who really wants a new home with an outdoor area to sit in the sun. Billy enjoys spending his days outside lying in the sun or on a grassy spot, then at night will come and sleep on the bed of whoever allows it – kids or adults. He is talkative and loves to play, especially with kids, showing a gentle nature around them.

Billy has been raised with two small children. He enjoys their company but doesn’t like to be picked up and keeps his distance when kids are too rowdy. He was very happy in his first home on acreage but became frightened of energetic dogs after being attacked. He’d prefer a dog-free home or one with a very calm, older dog.

"Six months ago, we moved to suburbia. Billy struggled initially with the new environment and frequent fights with other cats. Over time, he adjusted and is now much happier with some inside and outside time. He can be territorial but is adaptable with the right support.

The only reason we are rehoming him is that our family is moving to the UK, and we cannot find a suitable place for him there. We are heartbroken to leave him but hope to find him a loving new home.” Billys rehomer.

"Cooper has certainly settled in well and is very playful for a 9-year-old. He’s shown great interest in toys our Border Collie no longer uses.

Cooper needed a new home because his previous owner was diagnosed with a mobility issue, which meant life would only get harder for the extremely high-energy Cooper.

Cooper wanted a home with another high-energy BC and lots of space to explore and burn energy. Now he has exactly that.
