⚠PLEASE NOTE this warning is no longer current and has been updated. Visit www.emergency.wa.gov.au for the latest information.

Update time: 07:52 AM, 03/02/21.

🔥 A bushfire EMERGENCY WARNING is current for people in parts of THE VINES, BAILUP, ELLENBROOK, GIDGEGANNUP, MILLENDON, WALYUNGA NATIONAL PARK, UPPER SWAN, AVELEY, HENLEY BROOK, AVON VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, RED HILL, BELHUS, BASKERVILLE, HERNE HILL, BULLSBROOK, WOOROLOO, BRIGADOON in the SHIRES OF MUNDARING, CHITTERING and NORTHAM and the CITY OF SWAN. 🔥

⚠ You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes.

❗ WHAT TO DO: ❗

- For people within the marked Incident Area (the black shaded area within the map), it’s too late to leave and leaving now would be deadly.
- You need to shelter in your home in a room away from the fire front and make sure you can easily escape.
- You must shelter before the fire arrives, as the extreme heat will kill you well before the flames reach you.
- Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
- Choose a room with two exits and water such as a kitchen or laundry.
- If your home catches on fire and the conditions inside become unbearable, you need to get out and go to an area that has already been burnt.
- Protect yourself by wearing long sleeves and trousers, made from cotton or wool, and strong leather boots.
- If you are on the northern side of the Incident Area, travel northwest, away from the fire. For people in the remainder of the Emergency Warning area, if you are not prepared or you plan to leave, leave now if the way is clear by travelling in a west/south westerly direction.

😷If you are in an area subject to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, put your bushfire plan into action now and continue to follow precautions to minimise the spread of the virus.

😷 If you have been personally directed to self-isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19:
- Leave now, find alternative suitable premises and wear a mask.
- If you are unable to return to your quarantine location within one hour, telephone WA Police on 131 444 to advise them you have had to leave due to an emergency.
- Regardless of your location, continue to follow COVID-19 precautions and maintain appropriate physical distancing.

---AND---

🔥 A bushfire WATCH AND ACT is current for people parts of DAYTON, ELLENBROOK, MELALEUCA, GIDGEGANNUP, WEST SWAN, HENLEY BROOK, UPPER SWAN, BRABHAM, HOVEA, STONEVILLE, WUNDOWIE, MIDDLE SWAN, PARKERVILLE, RED HILL, MOUNT HELENA, JANE BROOK, LOWER CHITTERING, AVON VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, MORANGUP, BULLSBROOK, MUCHEA, HERNE HILL, CHIDLOW and WOOROLOO in the SHIRES OF MUNDARING, CHITTERING, TOODYAY and the CITY OF SWAN. 🔥

There is a possible threat to lives and homes as a fire is approaching in the area and conditions are changing.

The fire started near WERRIBEE RD in WOOROLOO.

❗ WHAT TO DO: ❗

- If you are not prepared or you plan to leave, leave now if the way is clear.
- If you are well prepared and plan to actively defend your home, make final preparations now.
- If you plan to stay and actively defend, do not rely on mains water pressure as it may be affected. You need to have access to an independent water supply, and start patrolling your property to put out spot fires.
- At all times close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
- If you are not at home, do not try to return as conditions in the area could be very dangerous.

😷 If you are self-isolating or quarantining due to COVID-19 and plan to leave:
- Leave now, find alternative suitable premises and wear a mask.
- If you are unable to return to your quarantine location within one hour, telephone WA Police on 131 444 to advise them you have had to leave due to an emergency.
- Regardless of your location, continue to follow COVID-19 precautions and maintain appropriate physical distancing.

---AND---

🔥 A bushfire ADVICE is current for people parts of BEECHINA, HOVEA, STONEVILLE, PARKERVILLE, MOUNT HELENA, GREENMOUNT, JANE BROOK, SWAN VIEW, AVON VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, MORANGUP, JULIMAR, CHIDLOW, MUNDARING, WOOROLOO and SAWYERS VALLEY in the SHIRE OF MUNDARING and the CITY OF SWAN.🔥

There is a lot of smoke in the area. Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.

The fire started near WERRIBEE RD in WOOROLOO.

❗ WHAT TO DO: ❗

- Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.
- Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames.
- Close all doors and windows, and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.
- Read through your bushfire survival plan.
- If you do not have a plan decide what you will do if the situation gets worse.

If driving
- Be extremely careful when driving through the area.
- Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.
- Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
- If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.
- If you have a respiratory condition and you have been affected by smoke you should contact your local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.

🔥 BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR: 🔥
The bushfire is moving in a west - south westerly direction. It is out of control and unpredictable. Burning embers are likely to be blown around your home. Spot fires are starting up to 100 metres ahead of the fire.

🚨 WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING 🚨

For those in an area where it is not safe to leave:
- It is no longer safe to evacuate horses and large animals.
- It is not safe to handle animal movements outside.
- Fences along roadsides should not be cut and external property gates should not be opened.

For other parts of the warning area where it is safe to leave:
- Take animals to stay with a friend or family member, or to a private boarding or agistment arrangement.
- If evacuating livestock or horses isn’t possible, consider moving animals to a paddock with low fire fuel load, and ensure animals have feed and drinking water for several days of high to extreme temperatures.
- Fences along roadsides should not be cut and external property gates should not be opened.

More information on managing animals in emergencies is available at agric.wa.gov.au

People who have evacuated and left animals behind, or may have fences damaged by fire putting animals at risk can contact the City of Swan for assistance on 9267 9267.

Did you know that there has been alot of thought gone into our trailers and with dog psychology one of the main factors in the design?
Our Aussie Pooch Mobile dog wash trailer is open allowing your dog to have a good view out and not feel trapped. This is important to ensure the safety of our wonderful groomers and your dog’s comfort.
The open design also allows airflow keeping our groomers cool, or can be closed with clear sides, which keep out the cool but retain the open plan.
The Aussie Pooch Mobile trailer has been improved time and time again and we are very proud of the look, shape, size and feel of them. With our groomers working long hours, it’s important for them, (and your furry friends), to feel safe and comfortable.
If you love dogs and would like more information on joining our dog wash team, make sure you PM us for more information. We have opportunities available Australia wide!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

As it's getting hotter and coming into the summer months, we'd like to remind our followers of the true dangers of dogs being left in cars!
On a hot day, the temperature inside a vehicle can quickly rise to dangerous levels for pets left inside — even with the windows cracked, in the shade or for ‘just a minute.’ ⛔️❌
To keep your loved ones safe this summer, remember to never leave an animal inside a hot vehicle, keep them indoors and avoid hot pavement 🔥☀️🐾
