●●●● In Queensland ,Australia. Some of our Flying Foxes have been affected by Flying Fox Paralysis Syndrome. [ FFPS ] It Seems to mainly Impact Adult , Male, Little Red Flying Foxes here. Early signs are weakness and Unable to Fly ( but can still climb.) This can progress to swallowing Paralysis and impaired Blinking and eventually death. As per information from the Department of Environment and Science Australia, ☆☆☆☆☆☆ It is NOT contagious to humans ,livestock Or other Bats. I have Rescued 4 Adult Red Bats in the last week. 3 were in early stages FFPS- Unable to Fly. 1 was in the later stages of FFPS- Unable to swallow and fly and unfortunately He passed:( 3 of my Red boys have been a week in the sick cage.They have been eating and drinking well and have recently started moving around alot. I have taken them down now to the flight cage [ as the Department has informed us its not contagious to other bats] I am hoping they will continue to improve and build up their strength. 🖤🦇🖤🦇🖤🦇🖤🦇 Townsville Bat Rescue Australia

♡♡ Lots of rain Outside, so the kids are resting under a mild ceiling fan. [ here in Queensland ,Australia - it is still very hot and humid during rainstorms.] They will All get a wipe over and good dry also today.This weather is perfect for mould growth on wings due to the moisture in the air.

♡♡ My 2 Strong Girls...🩷❤️🦇 DIVA- will be quiet but aware, allow me to feed her milk. Then she wants to be left alone. LAGERTHA - (has the brown eyebrows:) She will hide her real feelings of me until she has had her Milk [ which she loves & calls for!] .Then she will get her angry on with everyone after!.🥰
