I am sad to announce that T66 Aussie Pythons is closing down...
I may continue to breed as a hobby in the future but will be taking a break for a while.

Sadly I have found that the costs associated with keeping and breeding Pythons in a humane mannor DO NOT adequately reflect on market prices...
In other words if you got your snake cheap it's parents most likely lived in a tub that was a 3rd of their length..

Many snakes and enclosures available soon I will update with photos and prices asap

Albino Darwin proven pair
Albino Olive in-proven pair 2024 season ready

And here is no.5 the last of the clutch to Hatch he is our 4th male and as you can see he's a total throwout from the rest of the clutch.. I think he's a keeper sorry people 😏
Shedding will give us a much better idea though as they are still wearing their darker 'egg skin' at the moment.

Hey fans, sorry it's been a while since I've done a post but at least I can kick back off again with a nice one for you..

A little late in season as I haven't bred any Northern Carpets this year but here we have Phoebe's BHP eggs hatchling at day 63. I don't usually like to cut their eggs but I had a scare last year with one dehydrated and nearly drowned so I cut these at 60days but I shouldn't have because this lot is really healthy, I've only had to add water to a couple of eggs because I've cut them. I will keep you posted on the other 4 but they're looking good just don't wanna come out yet.

Healthy eggs will slash their way out unhealthy eggs won't but if you are thinking about cutting leave it until the final days and only cut a small hole.
Also pictured are some Stimsons eggs but I will post again about those :)

πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ Our twin coastal females we kept from last season 😎
Both females they were a tiny 11 and 11.5 grams at hatching compared to their "normal" siblings who ranged from 21-27g, now feeding like champs they've shed on the same day, started feeding same day and even seem to move in sync alot like in this photo πŸ˜‹

So our Children's Python surprised us with yesterday with a swallen cloaca and her first ever clutch.
I thought I'd missed her for this season but apparently not, I've had to rush an egg box so it's been a little bit of a disaster for the poor gal as she didn't get to properly make her nest (with nice little ball inside the sphagnum)
so she's had trouble clumping her eggs together and just generally made a real mess of it.
I've decided to help her out half way through and harvest in stages and these are 5 of the 7 she's laid so far (2xslugs) after cleaning off all the sphagnum..

Harvesting like this is a first for me and I don't like it. Some people like to harvest each individual egg but IMO this is far too stressful on the Dam and if (unlike me this time round) you're prepared for them they just do such a good job of it on their own πŸ™‚

Our poor Girl Phoebe, the NT Black headed python is looking pretty uncomfortable atm with her first clutch of eggs she's almost ready to lay.

In some of these pics you can easily see that she is bulging with eggs 😯

Some Python species will lay belly up like this whilst gravid (pregnant) to better expose the eggs to suns heat. This is also a very good indicator to tell us that they are in fact Gravid.πŸ™‚

Hi everyone, a friendly reminder to check your water bowls are clean & full even in the cooler weather..

We all make mistakes and shouldn't be hard on ourselves but I've just left this poor gal without water for just a day or 2 and this is the result.

I have a rather large collection and I fight the black dog but there is no excuse for this & I ALWAYS feel better after doing my water bowls at the very least.

Happy herping guys 😊
