PSA: The K9 concepts website has exploded… 🙈 yes, that’s the technical term!

Let’s just say that my tech skills are, um, not *quite* on par with my animal training skills!
(Translation: I’m pretty rubbish on a computer!)

I’m in contact with some genuine tech superstars and hope to have the site back up in the next day or so.

Wish us luck and thank you so much for your patience! 🤞🍀🙏

Sydney people! I’ve spent some time with this dude and he is absolutely amazing. With some simple basic training to build his confidence even more, master his loose lead walking and recall from high-level distractions (his recall is pretty good already!) he will be the most amazing family dog.

This webinar is open to everyone, worldwide! Please share 🙏

Lots of folks get stuck with cooperative care - in this webinar we’ll look at why that is and how to get unstuck!

We’ll be focusing mainly on nail trimming, ear drops and tooth brushing/oral health checks - but the principles I’ll cover can be applied to ANY interaction you have with your dog! There will also be a Q&A segment at the end.

UPCOMING WEBINAR - 18 APRIL

Join us for our April webinar with Dr Natalie Rogers on the very essential and important topic of 'Canine Cooperative Care'.

Animal husbandry can be one of the most stressful tasks for a dog, the dog guardian and veterinary care professionals. When you train with a dog to develop consent behaviours you give the dog the ability to actively engage with their husbandry. This creates a safer and lower stress environment where the dog is a willing participant in their care.
Dr Natalie Rogers is a full time academic and dog trainer. With undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Zoology, and Honours in Biological Science, Natalie also holds a PhD in Biological Science. She has taught Biology and Psychology at the University of New South Wales since 2010 and currently lectures on anxiety, stress, mental illness, animal learning and comparative psychology. Natalie is an accredited member of APDT and a proud Professional Member of the Pet Professional Guild Australia.

Did you know that a recent experiment showed that many young children interpret a dog’s snarl/growl as a “smile”? Yep!

And many people - adults and kids alike - would not realise that the first dog is uncomfortable and may pose the same bite risk as the second dog?! Yep!

Take time to educate yourself and kids around you about dog body language. Learning to be a doggy detective can literally save lives.
