Sweetpea Musical Promotions / Greg Hastings Sweetpea Musical Promotions is the registered Business Name for GREG HASTINGS -AUSTRALIAN ADULT & CH Sweetpea was his Dad's favourite flower.

Greg chose the name 'Sweetpea' after his father Stan Hastings passed away, on Greg's birthday, the hour he was born. Stan was a well known character on the Perth Folk scene and ran the legendary 'Stables Folk Club' in Perth. Stan and Greg were founding members of the iconic 'Mucky Duck Bush Band'. It was Greg's mother who gave the band its name (Mucky Duck = Black Swan, the emblem of WA)

Sadly the lyrics are still very poignant in our world today.

WAR TO END WARS
So many years have gone by

Remembering trenches in hell

Little of life had I seen

Did they give their lives aimlessly

Greg Hastings

Greg Hastings chose his business name 'Sweetpea' after his father Stan Hastings passed away, on Greg's birthday, the hour he was born. Sweetpea was his Dad's favourite flower.

Stan Hastings was a well known character on the Perth Folk scene and ran the legendary 'Stables Folk Club' in Perth, where ‘The Hastings Family’ sang (Stan, Greg and sister Val).

Stan and Greg were founding members of the original 'Mucky Duck Bush Band' in Western Australia. Greg's mother, Dot Hastings, suggested the band’s name... “Mucky Duck - because the emblem of Western Australia is a Black Swan”
