I want to be clear: I am NOT discounting the serious issues we have with dog overpopulation and dog homelessness. I am very grateful to all the dedicated and hardworking people in shelters and rescues.

What I hope for is that we will change the practice of how we sterilize dogs (including those in rescues) so we can prevent the unnecessary disease, suffering and heartbreak caused by the absence of s*x hormones.

O***y Sparing Spay (OSS) and vasectomy are the procedures that can be done in place of the conventional spay and neuter and based on research, they are safer and prevent a whole array of issues.

She and I co-owned Eng Sh Ch Gardenway Drummond together.

So, the annoying early morning alarm puppy (Dascha) has gone off to Elise’s place for a 4 show weekend!

Mishka and I are glorying in the lack of being jumped on (Mishka) and I hope to get a full nights sleep (having had interrupted days sleep while I was on nights earlier in the week and I was woken three times last night)

Mishka gets to cuddle Froggy without him being ripped away from her! And I can put a cup of tea down without someone overturning it on my iPad… and shes wearing two layers of jarmies with a blankie to go over the top.

The annoying early morning alarm puppy (Dascha) has gone out for the day showing with Elise Hinde and R***r and the most adorable 8 1/2 week old Akita puppy I’ve ever seen!

Mishka and I are having a great day, she’s just glad to be able to sleep in the sun without Dascha hurling herself at her head or sitting on her …

Update: returned home with two Best of Breeds to add to her collection
