Christmas is just around the corner and what better gift to get someone then their very own fur baby. As this time is coming up very quickly please remember that there are thoussannddds of animals that are in need of rescuing! Instead of spending thousands of dollars, try taking a walk through the RSPCA and other rescue centres. I know everyone is always set on the idea of having their own pet from when they are a baby, but these animals need a second chance at life too, they need your help.
I promise you won’t regret at least having a look, they are beautiful and most the time come from horrible back grounds.
Their only chance at loving life again is you.

Good afternoon everyone!

I hope you are well and have been practicing your social distancing. I know times are tough and most are stuck at home due to isolation, so I wanted to spread some positivity with different facts about our fur babies.

- Puppies become adults when they turn 1. Which is equivalent to 15 human years. Could you imagine if humans aged this fast?

- A grey hound could beat a cheetah in a long-distance race. Keeping a speed of 35mph for up to 7 miles, where as a cheetah can only keep their speed for about 200-300 yards. They may have the winning start, but would soon be surpassed by a greyhound.

- Dogs have 3 eye lids. The third is called the ‘haw’ its responsible for keeping the eye protected and lubricated.
- A blood hounds’ sense of smell can be used as evidence in a court of law. Now that’s something that would be interesting to see.

- Cats spend over 70% of their lives sleeping. How great would that be..

- In a way of mourning Ancient Egyptians would shave off their eyebrows when their cats passed away. Times sure have changed. Imagine getting asked why you have no eyebrows and telling somebody ‘It’s because my cat died’

- Your pet feline shares 95.6% of their genetics with tigers. Well this explains why they attack us out of the blue sometimes
- Cats can reach a speed of 30mph.

I can say a few of these caught me by surprise. Just goes to show how precious our four legged family members really are.
