Congratulations to K9 Freja and handler Emilia who today passed Preliminary Skills Assessment 1!

This assessment was externally assessed and consisted of:

• A 20 acre search for 2 missing persons which must be completed in under 20 minutes.
• An article search where the handler is not allowed to enter the search area until their dog has indicated on the article.
• Pathway search for an unknown number of missing persons which must be completed in under 20 minutes.
• Obedience component consisting of heeling, 6 minute down stay and recall.
• Socialibility test where the K9 is able to be picked up and carried by someone other than their handler.

K9 Freja & Emilia did an amazing job successfully passing all the components of this assessment.

Want to start extending your Drop Command? Dogs understand HOW to drop, but not STAY in drop, therefore we need to teach them the second half of the command. Start by making small movements with your hand and reward the drop position. ABOUT THE COMPANY

Ethical Dog Services was developed to help all dog owners reach their goal with ease and affordability. The purpose came from the simple fact; giving a dog black and white options, breaking the communication barrier which allows us to work in the grey area with better predictability. Increasing communication decreases unwanted behaviour.

HOW IT STARTED

Working and volunteering in shelters, Emilia is set to tackle the ever growing number of dogs dealing with Anxiety Related Behaviours. Living with an anxious dog can be quite a handful and Ethical Dog Services is prepared to make each home a stress free environment. It's incredibly rewarding to see you and your dog happy.
