I just released two new episodes of my podcast, Separation Anxiety In Dogs Decoded.

These episodes cover the issue of dogs who gets stressed before you even step outside the door, how to deal with pre-departure cues (also known as leaving cues) and how to get your dog rolling their eyes at you around your exit point!.

The episodes are available on my YouTube channel, and on all good listening apps. You can also find it on my website under the podcast tab.

I've kept the episodes relatively short so they are bite-sized and easy to digest in one sitting - I get how busy our lives are but you can always listen while you are out spending time with your dog! Just don't forget your headphones (I know I always do!!).

Eeeep!! I just released my podcast!

Guess what? I just released the first 6 episodes of my new podcast, Separation Anxiety In Dogs Decoded.

These episodes cover what separation anxiety is, what may cause it, information on threshold training, why we use cameras, how to navigate finding cover for your dog and provide an understanding of canine body language.

Lassie, Marley or Scooby-Doo? Which one do you have?

All dogs are pawfect but ... let's just say some of them have their own... errrrm... idiosyncrasies!!

This photo is of my dog Maya. She was a rottweiler x and I'm pretty sure this was the happiest day of her life!

It had been raining and she took advantage of my distraction and had a good ol' roll in the mud!

By the end of her life, I would say Maya was THE pawfect dog! She was a pleasure to be around, she listened, she had great doggy communication skills, was friendly and outgoing... she was the goodest of girls!

But it wasn't always like that! In her younger days she didn't like being alone and she would literally dig holes in the plasterboard of our walls when she was. Even though we had another rott at the time, we knew it was her because her snout and legs were covered in white powder.

She was also quite reactive to other dogs and believed she had to tell them who was boss so it wasn't always a pleasure to walk her.

But these were things we worked on together and honestly, she has been the best dog I have ever had.

She taught me so much but also enabled me to help other dogs and their guardians through their own struggles.

Maya is one of the reasons I have created a community of dog peeps to help them with their own trials and tribulations.

Decoders is a place to help your dog overcome behavioral issues, but also to learn about nutrition, diet, health, exercise, enrichment, separation anxiety and much much more.
