Though washed seperately with fresh warm water and fresh shampoo for each wash - Max & Ollie are in the trailer together. Lovely natured , the both of them. Been grooming them for years.

Look at Sheldon cheeky face. All his coat. And he knows it. 😫😫.
Due to arthur in my working shoulder, over past year, offloaded a few breeds and weights over roughly 40 kg. And have successfully tailored the business to suit the shoulder.

Candy is and always has been a bit skittish. She is not young. Been grooming her for many years It is just the way she is. She prances like a princess though once groomed. Her tongue is part of her character .

Back home from holidays visiting the kids in the Isaac region of Qld . Hot !!!!
But lovely little town they live in.
Back on the road on Monday 13 Jan. Will be lovely to see all my customers and some new ones …

Here we have one of the longest time grooms on the books - lovely lil Bailey. No lead needed to get him to or from the trailer. Lovely natured and always happy.

Cockers are not the easiest to groom . However , the outcome and their comfort is worth the time. Bo and Charli tick the boxes here. Different natures and different coats. But as Charli shows - with the paw hold - this is a sign of trust that they have with the person they are in contact with. Note the eyes as well.

Sheldon having his nails trimmed with the Dremmel. He has awkward nails , so need to use the clippers and Dremmel. As you can see - he is nice and relaxed.
Most dogs dislike their nails being clipped at the best if times and this is where the Dremmel comes in real handy.

Am still on holidays. Damn hot and humid where we are. Was chatting with one of their local mobile groomers up here.
She is new and her books are full. In a nearby town - there is a 12 month wait for new customers to get on the books. If an appointment is missed or simply forgotten - it is bad luck to them and they need to wait until the next appt with no chance of rescheduling. So - Canberrans - count yourselves lucky as far as accessing any mobile groomer 😊😊
Zara is lovely and placid. A smallish medium coated Border. It is not just a wash and dry and brush out. It is the ear cleaning, the nail clipping, it is the tidying of the sanitary areas, the tidying of the feet , pads , hocks, flags, belly etc, a light deshed , brush out and a good finishing comb out. I visit Zara every 8-10 weeks or roughly 2 monthly.
Yes - the arthur in the shoulder had me offload a few breeds over the past 12 months - but experimented due to shoulder being ok since offloading - taking back a few Borders. Not the larger thick or wirey coated - and so far so good.
So I will be approaching a couple of past customers and will be taking back Borders - but extremely choosie in the ones I groom. So don’t be surprised if I contact you out of the blue in the near future if I did groom your Border.

Goodbye 2024 and Hello 2025 !!!!
It has been an interesting year, both positive and negative.
A number of the dogs I have groomed thru 2024 and all wish everyone a Happy New Year too. Could not fit all or most. These are only a small portion of the total I groom on a regular basis and for a long time period.

Am on holidays but have a number if grooms photoed to keep posting. Hope everyones break went or is going well.

2 lovelies here. Lulu and Lilly. Lulu loves the attention from the go. Lilly starts off a bit hesitant and settles in nicely. All groomed back ready for the warmer weather.

A number of hot days on the way.
Just a reminder to not leave your dog in the car with the windows up. Also be careful of the time of walking your dog.
If it is too hot to the back of your hands - it is too hot for your dogs feet.
And remember to stay hydrated .
