Campsite no 3 - the Wirrabara Forest. Beautiful scenery, plenty of room., sheep yards for some of the horses, water (trough will be cleaned out before you get there). NO facilities.

First Road Trip to check the Trail and camp sites for the September Splitters Creek Trail Club T.R.

Most arrangements for camp sites and entertainment are now in place. There is a Hoedown at the North Laura Hotel on the first night, an evening at O'Riellys Country Table, in the Wirabara Forest and a Rhinestone Cowboy Night at the Port Germein Hotel.
Ride highlights will be riding the Bridal Track, which takes us to the top of the Hills Face above Spencer Gulf and of course loading the horses on to the Pichi Richi Steam Train and travelling with them to Woolshed Flat.

The 2015 Champagne Ride will be a closed ride for the Splitters Creek Trail Club. However, there will possibly be five spaces available to others. Cost $350. The trail will include Gladstone, Laura, Wirrabara, Port Germein, Wilmington, Quorn over 10 days. Watch this space.

The Southern Flinders Trail Club is riding at Pt Germein this weekend. Arrive around lunch time, set up camp at the old footy oval (toilets, water and plenty of room).
Ride out in the afternoon and the evening. BBQ on the fore shore BYO to share.
Sunday; beach ride in the a.m. Lunch at the Pt Germein Hotel followed by the AGM.
Cost; $10 club ride fee. ($20 for non ATHRA riders.

Christmas Lunch on Sunday 25th at 12.30 followed by AGM.

Southern Flinders Trail Club End of Year Trail Ride at Port Germein on 24th & 25th November.

Free camping on the Pt. Germein Football Oval. Includes access to toilets. Showers available at the Caravan Park - $3.00

Christmas Lunch at Pt Germein Hotel on Sunday $25.00 to be paid by 5.00pm Saturday afternoon.

Cost: Normal Ride fee ($10) for two days.
Numbers are a MUST for the Hotel for lunch so please R.S.V.P. by Friday 16th November.

Port Germein has a great "horse friendly" pub. Ride on the beach and havea drink at the pub. Say 'Hi' to Robby & Daryl. Ask them about the hitching rail near the beer garden.

Champagne Riders at Pt Germein. Did the best days riding starting at the Bridle Track near Pt Germein Gorge, right along the ridge and down the other side right in to the beautiful township of Pt Germein. Spent 3 days on and off the beach. Great showers at the Caravan Park, great drinks at the pub, good camping at the old footy grounds. Very horse & people friendly.
