It is time to start the search for Clover's special devoted home.

Clover's microchip states she is a Groodle 🤫 Golden Retriever x Poodle... however we actually think she is something else 🤔. Yes she is a Doodle Breed but we think she is actually an Irish Setter x Poodle - Irish Doodle. Why do we think this ?

We have previously had an Irish Doodle and whilst Clover is taller than Ruby....her temperament and coat is the same.

Clover is a 1 year 8 month old (DOB 08/06/2023) girl full of love and deserves the best home.

Some information on Clover and the type of home we are looking for;
- suitable with or without a dog companion
- can be left home 4-5hrs
- exposure to children would be better suited "dog confident" older children.
- regular brush and her coat can be maintained. She tolerates being washed
- training coming along, will need to continue. Crating and loose lead walking are a slow progress
- affectionate and lovely. Needs patience to work through her nervous nature.
- not tested with cats or pocket pets
- indoor / outdoor living, she wants to be part of the family.

Clover is still a little underweight, but is getting there. She is around 26 kilograms.

Clover has been flea and worm treated, Groomed, Vaccinated (is due for a booster vaccination soon as she was given one vaccination when she came into care), desexed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $950.00

Clover will make someone an awesome companion. She loves company and attention, but equally happy to chill outside.

Responsible pet ownership and free or extremely low cost desexing and microchipping is the most appropriate way to have a positive impact, not just killing them!

Puppy Farm Legislation was supposed to mean no domestic animal was to be sold or given away without a microchipped. That is not policed so there is no tracing where all the cats are coming from.

Reality is, if every cat was desexed we would not be in this position..

Today we welcomed Jamal back into our care after his adoptive family could no longer care for him.

Jamal (aka Keegan) is 8 months old and a Staffy x Mastiff x Boxer + extra's (DNA Tested Litter mate).

It won't be long and Jamal will be looking for a new home.

We now need to get them to Watsonia in Melbourne. So if anyone can help please private message us.

Yes we know this is a long shot but it is a difference between getting to the safety of a group or having to spend some time in the pound. (Please note: the pound staff look after the animals well, but it is not the same as being in a foster home).

Crate will be provided for transport.

Surprisingly Suzie is still searching for a loving home with not 1 enquiry. She is a 6 month old Heeler x Pointer x Mastiff x Kelpie. (DOB 15/8/2024).

In her foster placement Suzie is full of confidence and sass. She can push the boundaries with other pups wanting to be the top dog. When in unfamiliar environments Suzie is unsure, but quickly responds to reassurance.

Suzie is in foster care with a large breed adult male dog and an older female heeler. They get on well as they hold their own with Suzie.

Suzie is also in care with children - toddler and early primary school aged.

Suzie would be best in a home with other dogs that are clear about where she fits into the pack. We expect Suzie to grow into a 30-35kg adult dog when fully grown.

Suzie has been flea and worm treated, desexed, microchipped and had 2 vaccinations. She requires one more vaccination to ensure she is fully covered.

Our aptly named Jack Russell x Maltese Bandit is ready to start searching for a home that will meet his needs for adventure and extra training.

Bandit is 9 months old (DOB 16/5/2024) and full of the Jack Russell Terrier tenacity. He is a true pocket rocket weighing in at 6.6kg.

This boy will make an awesome companion for the right family. Bandit is full of confidence when meeting other dogs. He rushes in very boldly and some dogs will find that approach quite rude.

Bandit will need some additional training but he is smart and super keen. He reminds us a lot about another terrier we adopted out a few years ago that is now a fully registered assistance dog.

Bandit has been introduced to a dog savvy and confident cat and there were no concerns. Obviously Bandit is a terrier and if a cat ran, he would chase. There was no signs of aggression around the cat.

Bandit has been raised around children.
Given his busy personality, Bandit is not an apartment dog. Yes he is small, but he requires a yard with secure fencing and space to run and expel his energy.

Bandit is flea and worm treated, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. His adoption fee is $750.00.

Today two more of Shimano's kittens were reunited with her. They are malnourished and flea ridden.

We have treated them for flea & worms and then placed them with Trek, Malvern and Scuttlebug. Shimano instantly took them in and tonight they are snuggled up with their mum happily drinking off her.

Ember our 13 week old domestic medium hair female tuxedo kitten is ready to find a home.

Ember is a unique mixture of crazy and calm as she will either play independently for hours with any toy she can find typically preferring her mouse toy, finger trap or cat tower to meowing in a second to find you for a pat and occasionally a cuddle.

Ember will play with an interactive toys with someone for as long as possible with her rather high pray drive. You can normally find her curled up on her fuzzy bed, cooling mat or cat tower.

Ember would benefit in a house with mid to older teenagers as she can be timid with children or starts to hunt them, she has grown up with her brother, two adult cats and a senior small dog so would love a home with other animals.

Ember has been flea and worm treated, desexed, microchipped and had her first vaccination. Her adoption fee is $250.00.

Flash our 13 week old male tuxedo kitten is ready to find a home.

Flash is an energetic kitten constantly running, hunting, and playing with his sister. Flash is happy to independently play or play with his sister he does require someone to play with interactive toys before bed to tire him out.

Flash does have some traits that may mean he is particularly goblin as he takes anything he can get when he feel’s he’s being ignored 🤣. Flash has been know to take items and hide them under the couch. This mostly happens at night or when his humans are at work.

Flash is not the most cuddly boy. He does love a pat and being played with but is not the biggest cuddler - unless it is at night time on the bed.

Flash will thrive in a family with mid to late teenagers at the youngest unfortunately small children will either be scary to him or the chosen target for hunting time.

Flash has grown up with his sister as well as two adult cats and a senior small dog, meaning he will love to have other animals in the house to play with.

Maggie's pups are 5 weeks old tomorrow and growing rapidly 😃🥰.

They have started on solids and have the best start to life thanks to SavourLife and their donation of puppy food.

Maggie has been on this food, so the pups have been getting the good nutrients through her milk. Now they get to chow down on some soaked food.

Ten days ago we took in another little family in need. We thought they were ready to be introduced.
Mum Shimano is young and possibly pregnant again.
Her 5 week old kittens are Trek (Male), Malvern (Male) and the very special Scuttlebug (Female).
Scuttlebug was born with front leg deformities. She has a tiny stump on left front and a short leg without a foot on front right leg. Her disability does not hold her back, but she needs special supports to protect her front leg.

Little Mallee's transformation has started. First 48 hours were tough on him and his tummy. Lots of runny p**p, but now he is starting to adjust to lots of tiny nutritious meals.
We can already see he is starting to put on some condition. 🥰❤️🧡

Another life saved through collaboration with another group - Starting Over Dog Rescue.

After a flurry of messages and phone calls this morning a plan was set to break this boy out of the pound in Hindmarsh Shire 🥰😍.

Transport was arranged on the fly.....Nhill to Horsham thanks to Hindmarsh Shire, Horsham to Burrumbeet thanks to Phoenix Animal Rescue and then Burrumbeet to Melbourne thanks to Starting Over Dog Rescue.

We also managed to give him a quick bath in Horsham to help him feel a bit better.
A hydrobath and a trim will be in order to help completely tidy him up.

Good luck buddy with your new life. Such a beautiful natured boy. 🧡🧡
