Our latest Packwalk and Socialisation session was fantastic!!! 🐾🐾 Many of the dogs you see at our pack walks came to us with a range of issues - pulling on the lead is a common one. So is jumping and hyperactivity. Dog reactivity and dog aggression. And even dog to human aggression. Some dogs were a little hesitant or anxious, others just puppies in need of training. 🐕 The training goal for most people is to have an obedient and responsive dog they can feel calm to walk and have around others. #packwalkperth #happydogs #perthstaffy #kelpiesofperth #labsofperth #goldenretrieversofperth #perthgermanshepherds #huskiesofperth #reactivedog #anxiousdog #dogobedience #dogsocialization
Not sure if dogs today would make it in the wild. 🤣

This is how we build up a rock solid stay around distractions. At 4 months old English Springer Spaniel Stanley had progressed to advanced stays, whilst his owner was walking around the park and school kids ran by. Now at 6 months, he’s completed his 1:1 training sessions and is doing stays in our group sessions surrounded by over 20 dogs. Good boy Stanley! ⭐️ Give it consistency and trust the process, your dog will get there. 🐾🐾
Client Feedback - Goal Achieved!!
“I think I got a few funny looks on our run today because I was crying happy tears.
Our first run in a long time together and nearly perfect!”
~ from Izzy and Bodhi the 1yr old Kelpie
We specialise in obedience and behaviour training, and by offering both private and group sessions, we can help your dog become more obedient and develop calm socialising skills. Send us a DM or go to our website contact form to get started. 🐾🐾
Yes….. you can even train a husky to recall and not run off !!! 😂 Sabo is one of those dogs who loves to please and excelled at his training. ⭐️ His owners have continued to provide him with opportunities to advance and are dedicated to giving him the best life. Give a like to @sabo.husky on Instagram to follow his adventures including sledding this season.
Our Group Session last Saturday used Training Games to enhance focus and control in a higher energy environment.
Some of the games we played :
🔹 Relay races using Heel, Sit, Drop, Stay and Recall commands
🔹 Stay Competitions to see which team had the best and longest stays
🔹 Statues - racing to get to the instructor but ready to freeze into a sit or drop within 3 seconds
These games are designed to challenge, and develop, control and obedience, plus add some fun into training.
We finished off with 20 minutes of socialising, where the dogs and owners can relax and say hello.
Our socialising is done in a structured way so the dogs learn valuable skills :
🔹 to wait patiently before interacting
🔹 this gives owners time to talk and check if socialising is suitable between the dogs
🔹 prevent dogs rushing to greet each other
🔹 starting interactions in a calm controlled way is important to help dogs that may be overexcited or reactive to have positive interactions with other dogs.
Our approach of starting with 1:1 sessions ensures you and your dog have the skills and foundation to make the most of our group sessions.
We work with all breeds, ages and issues. Send us a message if you would like more info. 🐾🐾
Games add some fun into your training routine!
This reel shows Franklin playing hide and seek with his owner.
This game works on the sit, drop, stay and come commands, with the bonus of increasing your dog’s drive and focus.
Our 1:1 sessions can be an opportunity to learn some training games.
And for our next group session we will be doing team games. 🐕
A short reel showing what we got up to at our latest group session.
These sessions are held fortnightly on a Saturday afternoon and are a mix of :
👉advancing obedience skills
👉 working on behavioural issues
👉 socialisation
👉 pack walks
We’re so happy to see so many people and dogs enjoying themselves at the group sessions!
Have you tried this with your dog???
If so, I’d love to know what they did! 🤣

Group training. Obedience & socialisation.
18/5/24.🐾
Until recently the German Shepherd Dogs were the majority at our group training sessions. 🐾🐾 However lately, they’ve become the minority. Is it because all the GSD’s are now so well trained they don’t need any more training??? 🤣
NEED HELP WITH DOG TRAINING?? Our structured training plan is designed to incorporate real life scenarios into your dog training sessions. Whether it’s the taking the poo bag to the bin, calmly saying hello to furry friends at the park, or recalling back to you from playing with dogs or splashing in the water - we’ve got you covered. 🐕 Maybe your issues are at home. Not going crazy when the doorbell rings, greeting visitors calmly instead of jumping all over them or not running out the front door. All these situations, and more, can be integrated into training. Not only does our dog training cover obedience training, we also include behavioural training, as you can’t successfully work on one without the other. We come to you so we can train at your home or local park, and cover most areas of Perth. ⭐️🎥 VIDEO STARRING : Isabella, a 4yr old Flat Coat Retriever, whose owner wanted more control off lead, and needed to stop Isabella eating dog poo which was causing gut issues. Happy to say that after the seven training sessions we’ve achieved those training goals. 👍🏼 Isabella is happily, and safely, off lead at the park and can heel off lead along the river pathways (and she now resists the temptation of dog poo 😊) So very proud of Isabella and congratulations to her owner for the love and dedication she’s put into the training. 🐾🐾
Group training 23/3/24. Pack walk & socialisation.
🐾Great to see some new faces and some old hands(and paws)🐾
Recall… for some this can be one of the more difficult commands to teach, yet the most important (it could save your dog’s life!). A reliable recall past distractions, without needing treats, is the gold standard in dog training. 9mth old Golden Retriever, Sandy, completes a long distance out of stay, followed by her very enthusiastic out of sight recall. #recalltraining #staytraining #dogobedience #goldiesofperth #perthgoldenretrievers #dogtrainingperth
15% off training sessions! Dog training skills can sometimes need a refresher - for both dog & human! ~~~ Obedience training may need to be adjusted as your dog grows up or new challenges present themselves. ~~~ If you’re wanting to come to group training sessions but feel like you’re not quite ready, then an extra session can be beneficial. ~~~ For March only we are offering a 15% discount to past clients who would like to book in a refresher session or two. 🐶 You may have finished your training just a few weeks ago or it may have been years, no matter. ~~~ If you think a refresher would be good for you and your dog, send us a message with a few details about your current situation and which trainer you previously worked with. 🐾🐾 Please note there are limited places but we’ll do our best to find you a suitable session time.
It may seem counter intuitive but dog training should set clear rules and boundaries, with predictable outcomes, in order to give your dog freedom. 🐾🐾 Your dog training specialist should coach you how to implement and reinforce your rules, and assist you & your dog to clearly understand and respond to each other.……. By establishing this level of control, you can then safely allow your dog the freedom to play and frolic and enjoy their life. 🙌 Yes, dog training has rules, but ultimately it’s about giving dogs and their humans the freedom to enjoy life together. ⭐️ Reel starring Sandy the young Golden Retriever. Formerly way too hyperactive and jumpy around dogs and people. Now she’s an angel and a pleasure to take out to the park. #trainyourdog #dogsofperth #goldenretrieversofperth #perthgoldenretrievers #dogbehaviourtrainingperth
Frustrated that your dog ignores you at the park?~~~ Train your dog to show focus and responsiveness to you and you’ll enjoy your park time so much more. 🐶🌳 Marley, a 1yr old Bulldog x Staffy X Boxer, is learning to focus on her owner during a calm, relaxed stay. ~~ Well done Marley!!! 😊~~ #perthdogs #staffiesofperth #boxersofperth #bulldogsofperth #dogtrainingperth
