Before joining Aussie Pooch, Emily worked in various roles, including as a tour guide and casino croupier, while Damian spent 20 years in construction. 🎉 Introducing our Bribie Island franchisee – Tanya Wall! 🎉

Tanya’s journey with Aussie Pooch Mobile began in 2022 as a representative, where she loved being a sole operator and working with dogs all day. In 2023, she took the leap and purchased the Bribie Island franchise. 🐾

Before joining Aussie Pooch Mobile, Tanya worked as a pathology/vet nurse. She chose to become part of the Aussie Pooch Mobile family because of the incredible support and kindness offered to franchisees.

Before joining Aussie Pooch, Paige worked in various factories, picking and packing orders for customers. Her family have been using Aussie Pooch Mobile for a number of years, and Paige has always had a deep love for animals, so when it was recommended to Paige to join Aussie Pooch Mobile in 2022, she knew it would be the perfect fit. 🐾❤️

What Paige enjoys most about being a franchisee is meeting all the dogs and seeing their reactions during bath time. 🛁 Most dogs love it from the start, but it’s especially rewarding to see how quickly they trust me - some even bring their toys to show off! 🐶 Seeing their excitement for bath time and the happiness on their faces when I arrive is the best part of the job. 🥰

With the amazing support of our team and all of you, we raised $3,122 for crucial mental health research at Black Dog Institute!💙

In October, we put One Foot Forward and collectively travelled an impressive 712 km for the 1 in 5 people who experience a mental illness each year. Every step, stride, and cheer brought us closer to our goal, and we couldn’t have done it without your incredible support. 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, every dollar matters and helps improve knowledge and services to change the lives of people with mental illness. We couldn't be more grateful for your support! Let’s keep making a difference together for mental health! 💙

🌩 Storm Season is Here – Help Your Pets Stay Calm 🌩

Storm season has definitely begun for many of us, and if your pet gets anxious at the first hint of thunder, you’re not alone. Our pets can sense that sudden drop in barometric pressure even before we hear that rumble, and just like us, they can feel stressed and uneasy in stormy weather.

Signs of Storm Anxiety can be any of the following:

🐾 Pant excessively
🐾 Pace around or refuse to settle
🐾 Give subtle side-eye glances
🐾 Tuck their tail between their legs and flatten their ears
🐾 Start shaking or trembling
🐾 Look for places to hide, like under beds or in corners

Yesterday, we gave our kelpies CB 2 for Pets before the storm hit, and it made a noticeable difference! Instead of trembling and hiding in their usual spots, they stayed close by, appeared more relaxed and they even ate their dinner!

💡 What You Can Do to Help Calm Your Pet During a Storm:

🐾 Create a Safe Space: If possible, bring your pets indoors and keep them in a safe, enclosed area. Keep windows, curtains, and blinds closed to help muffle the noise and reduce visual stimuli.
🐾 Use Calming Aids: Supplements can help ease storm anxiety. Other calming tools like a snug-fitting wrap (like a thundershirt) or a cosy blanket can also help pets feel secure.
🐾 Stay Close: Pets often feel more secure when they’re near their humans. Offer comfort without reinforcing anxious behaviours. Sometimes just being present helps them feel safer.
🐾 Prevent Escapes: Pets in panic can act unpredictably. Avoid letting them roam outside, as they may try to escape over fences, putting themselves at risk.

Before joining Aussie Pooch Mobile, Julie worked as a blood collector in clinics and hospitals. Seeking more flexibility and independence, in 2022 Julie decided to make a career change. Before Aussie Pooch Mobile, Ally worked in Aged Care for 20 years. When asked why she decided to join the Aussie Pooch Mobile family, Ally shared, “I love dogs! I also wanted the challenge of running my own business.” 🐶💼

Her love for dogs shines through in every bath and cuddle. “I love them for the unconditional love,” says Ally, and you can see it in her photos with Freddo, who’s always happy to see her for kisses, cuddles, and, of course, a bath! 🐕🛁

Mark joined Aussie Pooch Mobile in 2013, seeing it as a fantastic opportunity to run his own business with a reasonable startup cost. He loves the ongoing support and team environment that Aussie Pooch Mobile provides, while still allowing the freedom to grow both personally and professionally. 🐾

Before Aussie Pooch Mobile, Mark worked in sales and sales management across various industries, including housing, insurance, and investment services, since leaving school at 15.

Mark proudly tells us that what he enjoys most is the control over his earning potential, the freedom to choose his own hours, build an income stream for retirement, and, of course, all the puppy kisses! 🐶💕

When asked about his highlights, Mark shared "over the past 11 years I've achieved several awards and recognition for my personal achievements but having my wife Joanne and all three of our children also being operators during this journey has brought us closer as a family."
