Sundays are made for coffee, early morning strolls along our beautiful coastline and a clean pooch…I can help with the clean pooch while you address the other two items on that to do list 🐶💆🏻‍♀️☕️🏝️🛁

❌Please note that there will be NO STRAND WASH next fortnight due to the Strand Ephemera taking place from 22 July-6 August❌

Today we remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and way of life; both human and animal alike ❤️🐶🐴🐪🕊️

During war times animals were used for certain jobs: the horses, camels, mules, and donkeys used to transport soldiers and equipment, as well as carrier pigeons and tracker dog with their special talents. The purple poppy is worn to remember all those fur and feathered friends who lost their lives alongside our soldiers 💜💜

At Aussie Pooch, we can’t help but fall in love with not only your pooches but our lovely customers as well 😍

We feel loss as much as if you are our own family not only when your pooch crosses the Rainbow Bridge but also when a fur parent passes on 🥺

Pictured here is Bob with his beautiful wife and fluffy pooch, Charlie. Charlie and his fur parents have been part of our APM family since 2017 when Liz was still on road. Julie has been lucky enough to have taken over Charlie’s appointments since Liz’s departure and has been enjoying her fortnightly visits 😊

Sadly, Bob passed away last week and we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time 💔

Rest In Peace Bob, you will be forever missed 💙

Julie has some big furry customers but don’t be fooled by their size, they’re the biggest teddy bears 🧸

Wabi, an Irish Wolfhound Cross, loves to give out big wet kisses during his bath 💋

Oscar, an Irish Wolfhound x Great Dane, is the tallest doggo Julie washes. His favourite part of his pamper session are cuddles 🐶

Not forgetting Mr Biggie, a Bull Mastiff, who is the heaviest doggo Julie pampers. He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold 💛

Happy New Years Eve! 🥳🍾🥂

What a ride 2022 has been but we finally made it to the end of another huge year! I’ve been enjoying some much needed downtime with my family and friends so I’m ready to hit the ground running in the new year 🛁🐶

A gentle reminder to all fur pawrents that fireworks are a staple amongst celebrations in most parts of the country and many animals including dogs can be extremely frightened and stressed by the sight and sound of them 🎇🎆🐶🙉

Here are some tips to keep your pet/s safe and calm during the festivities:

🏡Create a ‘safe place’ in your home for pets to retreat to

🎶Play calm music at a low volume to block out some of the outside noise

🦴Distract your pets with treats and/or playtime if they are pacing or displaying nervous behaviour

🆔Ensure your pet/s has current ID tags with up-to-date contact information
