PRICE INCREASE COMING IN 2025!
I thought I would give everyone ample warning so if my prices are out of your budget, you have plenty of time to find alternative arrangements.

I’m also abolishing the ‘Short Not Shaved’ service. There will just be Shaved and Not Shaved (or some other variant, open to suggestions).

2025 will also see me starting at 8am instead of 9am. (Wish me luck in winter, yikes.)

And last but not least, some of you may have noticed I’ve reduced how far ahead you can book to 6 months. Ya girl needs a holiday occasionally and this will help me be able to plan that. All of these changes will appear in the booking system soon but won’t take affect until January 1st 2025.

This policy isn’t new but it seems not a lot know about it.
Last week I had $370 worth of no shows.
After waiting 15 minutes in case they’re just running late, there’s no point contacting anyone from the cancellation list because by the time they arrive I’d have 15 minutes to groom them. I understand things come up and emergencies happen. It takes less than 30 seconds to send a text. Help a girl out.

The amazing woman that makes all the cute little bandanas you receive, my mum 🥰, takes all the little scraps of material and makes little bow ties that slip onto your dogs collar. I have SO MANY. So when you come to your appointment, feel free to grab one!

The 24th of August is JayDay.

Today my middle son would have been 19 years old. I lost him the year he would have turned 17. Just 2 weeks before I moved into the house in Keperra. Very very few clients knew this until today.
I’ve found the hardest part about running my own business is, if I don’t work, I don’t get paid. Today I worked. I struggled but I worked. Next year I already have 4 dogs booked in on JayDay. Next year, I will struggle but I will work.

So now for your homework.

It’s 2023 and everyone’s phone has a camera and I want everyone to use it. As much as you can. Take ALL the photos. Photos of your loved ones or selfies! One day, someone will see it when you’re gone and be thankful to have it. You can never have too many memories. Once you lose someone you love, even a million photos isn’t enough.

Aside from a few small-medium Bath & Tidies or small Crew Cuts, I am fully booked for the rest of the year.

I have decided to not take on anymore new clients, as my existing regulars are having trouble getting in and that’s not fair.

When booking your next appointment, go to ‘Login’ and put the phone number you used for your last online booking, instead of ‘Continue as Guest’. Otherwise you’ll come up as NEW and I’ll decline your appointment request thinking you’re someone new. 😅

Thank you all for your understanding and patience while waiting for appointments.
But also thank you for making The Barkery Grooming Parlour such a success. 🥰
