We thank Cody for coming on board at Ashwood Park and spending the time and getting them fully prepared with new life skills. In conjunction with Cody and our existing team here we make a formidable squad.
We currently are doing 3 at the moment and are willing to take on a few more right now while we are at it before our comp horses come back into work.
Our philosophy is “ THEY ARE OLD ENOUGH TO LEARN BUT NOT OLD ENOUGH TO WORK”
So they will learn life skills of problem solving then head back out to grow. ( let’s hope Platine doesn’t get much bigger 😱)

Aunty Monnie competition day
🌟AUNTY MONNIE Competition day 🌟
It all started at 6am feeding , plating and normal stables duties . Monnie was calm and had eaten well overnight.
Monnie was a little unsettled in the warmup with the busy environment so it took a bit of encouragement to get her on the aids. As I circled the arena ready to compete she came back to me 100%.
This wonderful little mare followed my lead and stayed with me entirely the whole test which enabled me to really go for it and ride accurately with scores to 71% ✔️
I am thrilled to announce that we were 2nd and 4th in the 2 big classes and was tied for FIRST PLACE in the championship with 66 points. We ended up reserve CHAMPION 🙌
Thankyou so much to Tamworth Jockey Club ( Keith) for sponsoring me to showcase the versatilities of the TB horse in the dressage division with a short turnaround.
We came …..we saw …..we conquered 💪.

Testing my boundaries and getting her right on the aids……Asking for more over the back more to the bridle ,forward and back in the gears more sit in the canter but most importantly the frame more up and out.
I wish I had more months more weeks even ,but I only have days and hours of prep left to get this little lady to shine and do the best possible job she can. The next task is to get her safely travelled to Equimillions and to not encounter any set backs.
The next and the biggest step is to ask her to stay to form in a brand new environment, one she’s never seen and something she’s never done before. I hope our partnership is strong enough that she stays with me in trust and confidence.
Onwards and upwards we go 💪

Aunty Monnie
Aunty Monnie and I have been working hard to develop our confidence and partnership together. I’m really proud of how far she’s come only fresh off the race track and raced only a few weeks prior. She’s blossoming on her Robanks Relax feed and is working confidently in her County Ephipany saddle.
I want to thank Sue Grills for sponsoring me with this adorable little mare and thanks goes to Tamworth Jockey Club for tasking me to produce a dressage Thoroughbred with a quick turnaround to showcase the versatilities of the breed . I’ve had many top FEI TB’s in my past so I was keen and up for the challenge 💪 Alex Thankyou for all your support and help with Monnie while I was away keeping her going

Ashwood Park proudly presents “ Lucas” the ultimate amateur/ junior and confidence boosting horse that is a real all rounder.
Ashwood Park has been affiliated with Lucas off and on for aprox 1-2 years and has been involved in he’s training as an OTT. Lucas has shown to be not the normal TB and is exceptionally quiet and laid back. He has had many outings to riding club , lessons and clinics and he’s a jump on and go type of no fuss horse.
He is the ultimate “ learn to ride” horse . Established at novice , training onto elementary . Excellent riding in and off the arena in all types of environments , and loves to jump.
He has been fully vetted with X-rays and was seen at this point in time in excellent health with minimal / nil changes and was completely sound.
