TROIKA was back in the winners circle on Thursday, taking out the final event at Hawkesbury. Great ride by Zac Wadick to have him in a great position and well done to the Brad Widdup Racing team
ANGEL IN THE WIND broke through for her maiden win at start two yesterday, taking out the 3rd race At Canberra. Jockey Jeff Penza had her settled midfield, before a gap opened up at the top of the straight, and it was nice to see her chase down the leader. Thanks to Pride Racing and congrats to our fellow owners. Onwards and upwards
DUKE OF BRONTE was an emphatic winner today at Goulburn, making it two wins in eight days. Stepping up to Class 1 grade over the short 900m course on the heavy 9, he once again led from the get go, with jockey Nick Heywood able to control his speed a bit better than last start, sticking to the better going in the middle of the track before bringing to the outside rail, where when asked, extended beautifully to win by 7 lengths. Very well placed by M.J. Dale Racing , and the manner of the win will make us look for another similar race over the short course even though he has been up for a while. Congrats to our fellow owners 🎉🎉🎉
DAZZLING SKY broke his maiden at Ballarat yesterday, with a nice win in the heavy going. Super ride by Jake Noonan, and big thanks to the Tony Noonan Racing team. A big group of happy owners!
ZAZEL got her nose down when it counted, taking out the 4th race at Moruya. Jack Martin had her settled near the tail of the field, before bringing her to the outside and producing a fast finish to get her nose in front on the line in a great finish. That’s two on the trot for the Keith Dryden Racing trained Rubick filly. Big thanks to the team 🎉🎉🎉
DUKE OF BRONTE justified the $1.10 favouritism, showing too much speed to break his maiden at Moruya today. Having his first start for the M.J. Dale Racing stable, jockey Nick Heywood opened up an early gap on the field, and never looked back, eased down to win by 3 lengths. Congrats to all involved.
SPITFIRE went home the best at Albury yesterday, bringing up his first win of the prep in the 4th event. Settling at the back, jockey Hannah Williams brought him to the outside and made sure her only ride for the day was a good one, edging clear on the line to take the win. Well done to the M.J. Dale Racing team and congrats to our fellow connections
LE FERRARI put in a great performance on Saturday, taking out the 7th event at Flemington. Jumping from a tricky barrier in 11, jockey Ben Allen couldn’t quite get cover, but rated him beautifully and Le Ferrari was able to produce a nice kick in the straight, to battle it out and get the bikkies, for a happy group of owners in attendance. Well done to the Lindsay Park Racing for their efforts with Le Ferrari this prep, and also for training four winners on the day at Headquarters, a great effort.
GO TROPPO brought up a well deserved win at Canterbury yesterday, charging home with Dylan Gibbons aboard to take out the 1900m event. David Pfieffer Racing has him racing very consistently of late, so it was great to see him get over the line. Congrats to all involved!
ZAZEL resumed on the right note, getting her head down on the line to take out the 6th race at Canberra yesterday. She was held up come round the turn, but once Jack Martin found a split, the Keith Dryden Racing trained filly sprinted nicely before winning the battle on the line. Well done to all involved
MIGHTY MYRTLE made it two in a row, finishing the best at Moruya today. Lovely rates ride by Jack Martin, bringing her to the outside before she showed a nice finish to swoop over the top of them. Thanks to Keith Dryden Racing and the team
LE FERRARI charged home in the closing stages to take out the 9th event at Sandown yesterday, in front of many happy owners. Great ride by Ben Allen and well done to the Lindsay Park Racing team!
KINTYRE didn’t need the stewards room to get the result this time round, putting in a super performance to back up his last start Group 3 win and take out the Group 2 Queensland Guineas at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Cejay Graham gave him a super ride just behind the speed, before he battled it out in the straight, where he was too strong in the end. Well done to Cejay, Gary Portelli and his team and all our fellow connections. That’s takes his earnings to over $700k. Kintyre’s win followed a good performance from Shadows Of Love earlier in the day, running 3rd in the Group 3 Hawkesbury Crown, and Le Ferrari capped off the day resuming with a nice 3rd at Caulfield.
KINTYRE finally got some luck today, taking out the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate at Randwick on protest. Using the good draw, Jamie Kah had him sitting on the fence behind the leaders in the heavy going, she bided her time in the straight, before a gap opened up on the fence, which she took, before being impeded enough in the stewards eyes, to just miss on the line, but ultimately taking it out in protest. It was a fantastic result, as he had been racing so consistently in Group 2 and 3 company with getting the choccies. Big thanks to Gary Portelli and the Portelli Racing team!!! 🎉🎉🎉
CORMAC T showed great spirit to bring up his first victory, taking out the 3rd race over 1800m at Hawkesbury yesterday. Having his 2nd start on Australian soil, jockey Tom Marquand had him sitting behind the speed, but coming into the straight, he was blocked for a run or two, but didn’t panic, cut to the inside and showed a great turn of foot to nab it on the line, in what was a slick last 600m. That was a great way to bring up our first win with the Annabel Neasham Racing stable. He looks to have a bright future!
BRAVISSIMA broke her maiden on Sunday at Swan Hill, with a strong effort in the second event over 1300m. Jumping from barrier 3, jockey Madi Lloyd had her sitting off the lead, and coming round the turn, she kicked clear of the field with the leader and fought strongly down the straight, prevailing in the end to get the chocolates. Well done to the Lindsay Park Racing team and all involved
SHADOWS OF LOVE booked her place in the Provincial Championship Final, with a dominant win at Gosford yesterday. Settling behind the speed, she was off the bit a touch early coming round the turn, but once Keagan Latham got her out and she balanced up, she showed a great turn of foot to kick clear and win comfortably. Super effort by the mare and big thank you to the @kimwaughracing team. Bring on The Championships!
HARPALEE broke her maiden at start two, with an impress victory at Ballarat today. Settling behind the speed after jumping from barrier 5, the 2yo Alabama Express filly was a little pocketed coming into the straight, but as soon as Blaike McDougall got her out, she pounced and showed a nice turn of foot to scored a good victory. That was a super start to the prep for this exciting Lindsay Park Racing trained filly!
SHADOWS OF LOVE kicked off the prep with a super performance on Saturday at Rosehill. Jumping from 8/8, jockey Tommy Berry took her back to the tail of the field, but with the speed on upfront, she rounded the field and flew down the middle of the track, running a slick last 600m to come over the top of them. Well done to the Kim Waugh Racing team. That now takes her earnings to over $300k!
TROIKA was back in the winners circle yesterday, with an all the way victory at Hawkesbury. Having his second start for Brad Widdup Racing, he had to come from the widest gate, but jockey Zac Wadick was able to get him to ping the lids and he crossed with relative ease, before controlling the race and holding on to get the job done. Congrats to all involved!
