Our clinic will be closed on Friday 26th September for the AFL Grand Final Eve public holiday.

We’ll be back open as usual on Saturday 27th September.

If you have any concerns about your pet’s health during this time, please don’t wait—take them to your closest veterinary emergency centre right away.

🚧Car Park Access Update – Please Read Before Your Appointment🚧

Our clinic is currently undergoing storm water drainage works, which means the car park will not be accessible from the service road off Dandenong Road.

✅ You can still access the car park via Greta Street
✅ Alternatively, you may park on the service road off Dandenong Road

👉 Please allow yourself extra time to find a park so you can arrive at your appointment without stress or delays.

🐾 As always, we kindly ask that:

Cats are secured in carriers

Dogs are kept on leash – especially important if parking on the service road

We really appreciate your patience and understanding while these important works are completed. Thank you for working with us to keep visits safe and smooth for everyone! 💙

🚨 EMERGENCY ADMISSION 🚨

This morning we had a critical 'stuffing situation'! 😱
A beloved goose stuffie was rushed into Monash Vet with extensive cuddle trauma and suspected fluff loss due to excessive love and affection ❤️

Hannah and the team sprang into action, performing delicate sutures under full monitoring and fluids therapy (only the best for our patients 🩺💉). Mr Goose is now stable and in recovery, with strict instructions for “gentle snuggles only” during the healing period. 🧸🪡

We also had a stern word with the overzealous doggy culprit at discharge — a gentle reminder that love doesn't have to be so... intense. 💕🐾

🐾 Monash Veterinary Clinic Supports Another Endurance Test! 🐾

This past Saturday, we were proud to support another fantastic ANKC Endurance Test, hosted by the White Swiss Shepherd Club. Our very own Dr Victor generously volunteered his time to continue both his and the clinic’s ongoing support of ANKC dog sports.

💡 Fun fact: White Swiss Shepherds were imported into Switzerland in the early 1970s and officially accepted into the FCI in 2001!

It was a great day out with a wonderful mix of breeds putting their stamina to the test — from an energetic Border Collie and sleek Whippets to a cheerful Brittany Spaniel and even a determined little Griffon Bruxellois. 🐶💨

A fun day was had by all! We love seeing such variety in the world of dog sports and the dedication from owners and handlers alike. ❤️

This sweet Chow Chow girl was on her very best behaviour today for her laparoscopic ovariectomy – and absolutely stole the hearts of the whole team! 🐾✨

🐶 Fun Chow Fact: Did you know Chow Chows have blue-black tongues and are one of the oldest dog breeds in the world? Regal and adorable!

🩺 Vet Tech Fun Fact: Laparoscopic desexing is a minimally invasive surgical option that often means smaller incisions, less pain, and quicker recovery for our patients. Win-win!

Over the past couple of months, our amazing team (shoutout to Dr. Trung, Dr Andrew & Nurse Tilly) has proudly volunteered their time and expertise at both the Hungarian Vizsla Club of Victoria and the German Shepherd Dog Club of Victoria Endurance Test Days. 🐕‍🦺💪

Endurance is an ANKC-accredited dog sport designed to test a dog’s fitness, stamina, and mental resilience. It’s a brilliant display of the strong bond between dogs and their handlers—and we love being part of it!

Whether we’re there to support the veterinary checks or just cheer on these incredible dogs and their dedicated owners, it’s always a pleasure to be involved in such rewarding and community-driven events. 💛🐾

We look forward to helping out again soon!
