Happy boys returning to the paddock after TSU collection and a fly tag.
Amazing how fast a season can turn around when it wants to!
This year we offer the “First Release” offering from Dangarfield Big Casino (PS)
They say the sign of a top sire is the line he produces.
Check out some of these sons (especially Lot 6) and see the stamp he has put on them.
Big volume, easy doing, placid natured. Loose right through and trim underneath.
Time for some data collection today and final time being in the yards before the auction.
Final weights, muscle and fat scanning and scrotal to be done later today.
Supplementary sheets should be ready by tomorrow.
If anyone would like to have a casual inspection this afternoon feel free to stop by from 3-5pm
It might even coincide with beer o’clock?!?!😜
We had our best heifer classification to date earlier this week.
80% classification rate
70% poll
All were PTIC before being considered to be eligible.
It was a great day had by all.
Only downer for the day was knowing it was Russell Gray’s final inspection of our cattle.
Always enjoyed your visit thanks Russell and after 36 years in the job we hope enjoy your change of pace.
And the young guns turn on Saturday
Lot numbering done, now time for a catalogue to be compiled
A good way to finish off the week, lot numbering the sale team for September 5th 2023.
Plenty of nuts, butts and guts in this team!😎
Driving out today was a nice way to finish off going past some of the young guns for 2023
Pasture fed only.
Sometimes is good to pull up and enjoy the view.
Mustering some of the commercial herd for branding and fly tagging earlier this week.
Dangarfield is enjoying a great summer.
Anyone in the market for some “Cherry Red Beef”?
The Dangarfield Herd Rebuilder Sale is on today.
280 heifers sell at 2pm today followed by 46 bulls at 3pm.
Yeovil Rd is now open (allow approx 1hr travel time Taroom to Kingswood) and helicopter flights are still available to and from Taroom if required. Text msg bookings would be appreciated.
Travel safe and we hope to see you soon!
33rd Annual Dangarfield Sale Lot 41 Drax (P)
Lot 41 Drax (P)
Check out the skin on this bloke!
Dark, slick and fine hair, while still having a trim sheath!
Drax is a real eye catcher and he draws your attention out in the paddock. Watch him stop and stand proud, something all the good ones do!
By the one of our “First Release” sires Bunda Nugget (PS) and out of a Quarterback daughter.
She is a full ET sister to our show cow Zoe (P) and she also has a son catalogued.
Drax (P) scanned 132 EMA,
12 & 8 for fat
And scored 91% for morphology.
Pretty much a perfect combination.
Would be great to see this bloke go on to do stud duties for someone!
33rd Annual Dangarfield Sale Lot 26 Diablo (PS)
33rd Annual Dangarfield Sale
Lot 26 Diablo (PS)
An impressive bull when you see him.
A big powerful hindquarter but still clean made.
A big “Hip to Pin” and the meat caries deep down his thigh.
A good sheath and a strong poll scur head with big ears. He is wide between the eyes and broad in the muzzle.
Out of a poll Hillside Fourex daughter who has given 10 natural with a 369 day interval!
Our Fourex daughters are some of the most fertile we have seen.
Diablo measured 134 for EMA and 89% morphology.
Just one more example of
“Packed with Performance & Backed by Fertility”
33rd Annual Dangarfield Sale Lot 19 Dawson (P)
Lot 19 Dawson (P)
One of the stars of the two year old draft.
This would be a great sire to see when he finishes growing.
He has the frame and extention to grow out into a great sire prospect.
A clean poll with a great nature and tropical outlook.
Fine slick coat and trim sheath.
He strides with ease, tracks perfectly and stands proud.
By Jaguar who is also the sire of our lead sire Zulu.
Dawson’s dam is a poll cow who has had 5 natural with a 389 day interval.
He had measured 132 EMA and 89% for morph.
One more example of “Packed with Performance and Backed by Fertility.
33rd Annual Dangarfield Sale
Lot 2 Copenhagen (PS)
This guy has some of our best breeding behind him!
A combination of Vegas and Quarterback, 2 of our strongest bloodlines!
The biggest EMA we have ever scanned here with 152cm but still able to easily fatten with a fat scan of 10/7
For a bull to have this much punch he moves so free and stops square every time
(as you can see in the clip)
His dam had 5 natural and has another son doing stud duties.
83% morphology
Placid in nature
Small scurs
Loose skin and trim in the sheath
Just another Dangarfield bull “Packed with performance and backed by fertility”
