💡 Why are Element specalities so great for beginners & nervous competitors?
All you need is birch to compete in Level 1, Level 2 Birch & Anise , Level 3 & Level 1 plus all odours
Quick & efficient: 4 back-to-back searches and you’re done before you know it
No placings – so if you’re competitive, there’s no subconscious pressure for ribbons. It’s all about the search!
✅ To pass, you just need to:
Call “Alert” or “Finish” before time runs out
You’ll have a 30-second call window (unless the search time is under 1 minute—explained in briefing)
Earn a Leg with 3 out of 4 correct searches
You can even pick up to 3 minor faults (1-point each) across the day and still title!
