Get Ultimate Prize Pack Sneak Peak
Are you getting excited for tomorrow? The first of its kind - invitational Get Ultimate Scent Games, some of the highest ranking sniffing teams across SEQ.
The top ranking teams from Get Operational & Tough Mutter won the invite.
What an amazing sponsor Furmilial supporting us again, along with Get Woof'd Ultimate K9 Street Wolf in your prize packs - check out those placing ribbons. Will one be yours?
Yesterday Ultimate K9 and Get Woof'd offered a NW3 Preparation Workshop in Narangba. We saw 22 teams and for the first time we opened to everyone not just our students.
It was awesome to be able to help teams and it's a careful balance for us as instructors as we don't want to change too many things for you 1 week out before a trial.
We provided a 1hr information session on NW3 trials and then 4 search areas with coaching for two sessions of 3.5hrs.
The greatest thing across all scent disciplines including competition is that the information on , training and how we do things is always evolving and changing for the better of our dogs. Both Becky and myself ensure we stay educated from across the world and Australia to ensure we have an understanding of as many methods, reasons and causes across the space to provide the people that trust us with their dogs a well educated understanding.
It can sometimes challenge us, all the changes from where we were at Day 1 vs where we are years on, but like all things in the world everything evolves and hopefully for the better of the teams involved.
Vixen got the duty at Get Operational to run the area on Doggy Cam footage. For another view of the area - unfortunately for us we couldn't compete as i was running the games but she got to experience the environment and she had a great time - makes no difference to her she goes and does her thing with such enthusiasm and oomph . The below is a combined video of Bravo and Echo area
Military Themed Scent Work Games on the weekend.
( in one stage in Echo, she whacks the camera down in her energy to indicate on the hide)
Hope you enjoy the bumpy ride on the Black Fox.

Check out some videos of our teams working their magic in class.
By this level it is important that the strong foundations have been established. Our number 1 priority and message is being able to read our dog in all scenarios and not relying on one part of the behaviour chain to interpret the message from the dog.
We want to create a united team working together as one through simplicity or challenge. The handler must be able to interpret their team mates communication.
All these teams joined Get Woof'd for our Ship Shape Class, we hope they are enjoying their new journey.
