Two of this weeks walking Pros are Zeus and Zara!
Zeus and Zara are two both powerful Doggo’s and loved to use that power to drag their humans for walks!
Here both dogs are leaning to walk nice on lead through two different force free techniques!
Yes it’s me Tanya doing both sessions but why am I using different techniques?
Because every dog is different and what might work for one dog may not work for another. And there are also so many different reasons why dogs pull on leash!
How good are these Puppers at learning how not to drag their humans down the street!
Time to spin the wheel for May to see who takes out the $100 voucher!!!!
Soo my footy tips have been terrible!!! So I decided last weekend to let my smart @primrose_the_border do my tips and she got 4 out of 5 right! Only getting the roosters game wrong and let’s face it we could say if our local Menangle boy played she could have got a full round!
So I have decided to let Primrose do my tip for Origin! There was no peer pressure at all for her to tip!
If you want to keep watching Primrose’s tips make sure you follow her on Instagram.
Why we Train!
The beautiful Kelpie here is Chino!
We have been working on Chino for a couple of different behaviours but lately we have thrown our focus on being able to go to the dog park.
To start off with Chino had no idea what to do when he saw a dog! He couldn’t just control himself from lunging and barking.
Yesterday he had a great play and run with our friend Crumpet and Primrose tagged along to!
This now allows Chino to go to the park and burn off that Kelpie energy by being able to run.
A massive Thankyou to those who reached out and have helped to build Chino’s confidence up and also helped him learn how to play!!!
Side note, the little noise you hear when they are running is Primrose crying that she can’t keep up with them 🤦♀️

Rowdy and Vacuum Cleaners!
Rowdy has been quite reactive when Vacuum Cleaners were heard! It was great last week to have him able to focus on something else instead of trying to have a go at it.
You can see through his body language he is still not 100% happy with it just yet but this has been a great improvement and something that Rowdy will keep working on!
⭐️ Star Alert!!!🔔
2 weeks ago Maple would bolt the absolute the opposite way when her harness appeared!
Through patience and consistency of her incredible owners, here is Maple now putting her head through the harnesses.
Can’t stress this is not the end of the training, our goal is for when Maple see’s her harnesses she runs over and puts her head through and they can clip it up with her absolutely loving it.
👀 Watch this space 👀
How good is this leave it by Wellington!
There are so many reasons why dogs pull on leash and one of the big reasons is that dogs pull towards people, dogs, objects and of course great smells!
By having a really strong leave it we can minimise greatly your dogs pulling on leash!
Real life audio of the snake prevention training yesterday with Max and Dimond.
Please watch the video previously for more information.
Can we keep our dogs safe with snakes?
Yes we can!
Here is video of training I have been doing with Dimond and Max on Snake Prevention Training.
This was a brilliant video to capture as we had realistic distractions with the neighbours next door arriving home.
Both dogs notice the snake and take themselves to their safe place away from the snake.
I’ll post the video as well of no voice over so you can hear what’s going on in the background, more like me not giving them any cues now as the smell of the snake is simple the cue!
If you have any questions please reach out!
It’s the 1st of the month which means it’s time to spin the wheel to see who wins the $60 voucher!!!
Thankyou to everyone who entered the competition by sharing one of our social media posts or tagging us in your own post on social media!
Last night we worked with the beautiful Colleen ( The Groodle) .. yes Sophie you are beautiful to!
Colleen is working on building confidence up with people and other dogs.
It was great to see her confidence grow and actually want to follow Sophie instead of being frightened of her!
This is a great progression already!
Well done Colleen!
Brooms are not Scary!!!
Here is a snippet of the what we cover in Puppy School!
Most rescue dogs are scared of brooms not because they were hit by one, simply just because they haven’t seen one of have had a positive exposure with them.
