At the weekend I lost my mind and took 3 horses by myself to Eugowra Show. It was the debut of yearling gelding Camelot William Henry (Camelot Medallion x Wellsdale Acres of Coal) who took everything in his stride for a win. He's a very similar type to Minstral being out of the same mare. William Henry was my grandfather and unquestionably had more influence on my Horsemanship than any other person. Elegance had a great day winning Champion Led & ASH Hack and also Champion ANSA Hack. I only started Minstral in the Working class and dementia played a part in him being out of the places. Thanks to Heidi Holland and Rebecca Crosby for putting on a very welcoming show and to the Judges and Stewards who gave up the day. Photos by Rosemary Richardson. Molong Show ASH Results

Thanks to everyone that made this a very successful show. Thanks to our Jugde Victoria Wythe, Elizabeth Docking our Steward and the sponsors Andromeda Industries, Kirby family, Furney's Stockfeeds Orange and my Mum Barbara Davidson for the Trophy rug. Champion Led was Jacqui Langfield very typey c**t Gemsfield Commander. Reserve was Michelle Banning with the well performed Oakton Lodge Sudden Romance. Champion Hack was Angus Hill with Alias Halo and Reserve was the ever consistent and smiling Lauren Day. Champion Working went to a well deserved Abbey Lawson and Reserve to Laura Hennessy.

Molong Show Update 7 September.

Entry to all classes is $3 which is paid in the ring. No need to buy tickets or pre-enter. Please have the correct money. Also please complete your Biosecurity and Liability Release forms prior to Show day and had to the Ring master tent on the day. Forms are available from NSW Ag Show website. The ASH ring is Ring 1 and is at the opposite end of the ground to last year. We are on the northern side of the ground. Parking is on the running rail. I'm excited, only a few days to go.

Molong Show ASH Ring Pattern Changes 7 September.

With the Youth ASH Nationals only a few weeks away we've decided to use patterns from the Nationals for the 13 - 18 years classes at Molong. The Hack pattern will be HP9 and Working WP8. Hope to see you this Saturday.

Molong Show 7th September 2024

This year I'll be co-ordinating the ASH ring at the Molong Show. We'll be using the same progam as the recent successful Orange Show which features over 30 ASH classes. We are seeking sponsorship for the Ring. If you are interested please send me a message.

It's my goal to have this program implemented at all Ag shows in our region. I believe this program covers all areas of our breed and caters for all levels. Please share with your local Show committee.

Orange Show was on today in magnificent weather. The ASH ring had huge numbers with the majority being Youth riders. The Cudgegong Valley Veterinary Services Champion Led was won by Georgia Johnson with Playmore Madonna, the Banning Family Michelle Banning Champion Hack was also won by Georgia and Madonna, the Glen Echo Training Stables - Shane Everingham Champion Working was won by Isabella Pearce and Willdraft Just Special. Newmarket Saddlery donated a bridle and breastplate for the Best Novice Hack & Working which was won by Georgia Johnson and Barnett's In Fashion. Thankyou to our Judge Harriet Collins and thanks to everyone for making it a very enjoyable day.

Orange Show ASH Ring Sunday 28th April

We have received amazing sponsorship this year from Glen Echo Training Stables - Shane Everingham, Cudgegong Valley Veterinary Services, Michelle & Robert Banning, Newmarket Saddlery and Furney's Stockfeeds Orange.

With over 30 ASH classes, the winner of every class will receive a Super Strong green and gold headstall. Champions will receive $100 plus a bag of Furney's Koolablend. Reserve Champions will receive $50 plus a green and gold lead. To encourage our Juniors and Novice riders, the winner of the Novice Hack and Novice Working will receive a floral garland.
