This beautiful boy met his soulmate, it was love at first sight for both of them! We couldn't be happier for Dyson and his new family.

Dyson is a one-year-old mixed breed, medium-sized dog who weighs 35 kg. He looks like he has some Wolfhound in him, but we don't know what other breeds make up his happy personality.
He'd be best suited for an active family who can give him lots of attention, love and exercise. He would absolutely thrive in an energetic and active household as the sole canine companion, ideally with someone who's home for the majority of the day as he just wants to be with you all the time.
Since his very sad start, he has blossomed into a remarkable companion during the time he has been in care. Dyson has gone from skin and bones to happy and healthy and so full of love!
He is house-trained, smart, and quick to learn. He's also playful, affectionate, and loves to entertain himself with his favorite toy. He's good in the car and walks well on a lead. He knows basic commands and is good with older children and adults and absolutely loves food and treats! This beautiful boy has so much love to give.

Unfortunately at this time our shelter is full of cats, kittens and dogs and we cannot accept any more until we get more adoptions or place more into foster care. We try to help as many animals as we can but we can only help when we have space to do so. We have extensive waiting lists for both dogs and cats waiting to come into our shelter.
If you have found an injured or sick cat or kittens, they may be accepted for treatment at your local vet clinic. Alternatively, you can reach out to a rescue group near you at https://www.petrescue.com.au/rescue_directory/map Our shelter is also unable to accept stray animals - if you have found a stray animal, please contact your council.

Miss Molly is the queen of belly rubs. She loves flopping onto her back and remaining there until you give her a nice, gentle scratch. If you stop, she'll raise her head, confused, and nudge you gently with her nose to continue. She will lean into you for back scratches too and adores all people's attention, even strangers on walks!
This beautiful blue babe can live in all house types as long as she gets her daily walkies, and hopes for a gentle family as fast movements, even kicking a ball, can be a bit scary for her.
Molly would happily live with confident older children that don't shy away from her larger size and bouncy, bubbly nature. Full time workers need not to worry as Molly keeps herself entertained on her own.
Molly is so easy to train and highly obedient as she responds so well to treats, knows her name and checks in with you regularly on walks to make sure you're keeping up.
Molly can get frustrated around other animals and needs lots of space to feel comfortable so she is best suited to be the only pet in the home to soak up all the love, pats and treats. Molly is at our shelter waiting for someone to adopt her.
Her adoption fee is just $100 (if adopted by 21.1.24) which includes vaccinations, microchipping, desexing, and free council registration eligibility.

The busy season is upon us 😅
🛑 please be respectful of others!!
I myself have already had multiple unfriendly dogs approaching me off leash without any recall! 3 being a severe bite risk, And some with no owners in sight.
It’s always this time of year when irresponsible dog owners are out and about. Don’t forget to speak up and report where needed.
How to be responsible:
❗️keep your dogs on leash
❗️don’t go to beaches, shops, town or parks at peak hour
❗️stay calm if an off leash dog approaches
❗️always advocate for your dog
❗️ play at home and offer different types of mental enrichment
❗️use this time to teach self control (let your pooch relax in busy surroundings) (not letting them play or engage with dogs, people, children)
❗️don’t leave your pets tied up at shops or locked in cars, keep them at home
muzzles are a fantastic tool for all and will help better protect your pooch if they feel the need to go for a bite in any situation. It’s always better to be prepared.
💢Advocate! If an off leash dog approaches, stay calm. Step in front of your dog/s and block the other dog/s from making contact. Ask the owner to recall their dog/s
If you see an off leash starting to approach and you’re able to take a different direction, do so.
Use citronella spray on aggressive dogs,
Kick on the ground or out at approaching dogs that have hackles, teeth showing, low growling, low body, fixation onto your dog/s, non moving high positioned tail, overly excited behaviour, fast approaching, barking dogs, If blocking isn’t working.
DO NOT LET CHILDREN PAT YOUR DOGS FACE! I can’t believe I actually have to say that. I don’t care how friendly you think your dog is, they don’t need their boundaries pushed by children who don’t know what they’re doing. Yes a bite will eventually happen if you choose to ignore your dog’s boundaries and cues.
And parents please ask before your child approach’s a dog, ask if they can pat and if the owner say no, respect their decision. Dogs aren’t toys!

First ham victim of the holidays. Frankie helped himself to some beautiful ham off the bone for lunch today. Fortunately he was found out and came straight in to the hospital and made to vomit. Ham makes dogs very sick so this was a lucky escape (although Frankie doesn't agree...).

I havent been very active anyway but just letting you know due to personal reasons in the family i wont be continuing to do pet sitting at this stage. Its all too much for me to handle physically and mentally, and i hate letting people down! 2022 will be a very tough year for me.
