Can any of our Mudgee friends pony sit one of our old boys for a couple of nights? We are bunny hopping him home from further out. We can get him across to Mudgee tomorrow but I can’t get out to pick him up until Wednesday. So it would be 2 nights of keeping him safe & loved ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Sensitive topic - We need your recommendations.
More and more as horse owners we are faced with having to make tough decisions for our furry friends. In our neck of the woods, we now have some challenges around availability of after hours & emergency vets (we’ll talk about that separately). AND, one of the bigger issues is around burial or removal of the body of a deceased animal.
Some council areas simply do not permit burial on your land & to be honest, sometimes it can also be very expensive or impossible logistically due to ground conditions.
So, we would like your help compiling a list of contacts who are able to assist in body removal in the Hunter Valley, Central Coast or mid North Coast areas.

Do you ever stop and think how long you've been doing something? How much you have learnt? What you have achieved?
I can honestly say we have exceeded any expectation I ever had when I started rescuing over 30 years ago. What a wild ride ❤❤🙌🙌
We have been in this for the long haul, standing the test of time while others have come and gone. We have a solid reputation, great relationships and networks, AND, we get things done!

A rose between two other roses??
You know how sometimes you just get a feel for a good fit? It’s hard to say but IYKYK right?
Zambi was not advertised for adoption but my god did we have some enquiries come in for her! She’s clearly one of those in demand, trendy breeds.
One family struck us as the perfect fit & we decided it was where she needed to be.
So here’s Zambi (middle) with her brothers Teddy & Bear ❤️❤️❤️. Yep, her really truly in real life brothers.
And so the hay came….
We were very fortunate to receive $400 in donations towards the $5350 total cost.
This stack of 225 will last approximately 10 weeks (🙏 we hope).
The irony is, we actually have some good pasture & more coming through. It’s just so damn wet we can’t put the horses out on it or we’ll have nothing!! The weather gods have dealt us a tough hand this year on the east coast 😭

We have 4 wintec saddles for sale between $200-$450. Would prefer to sell locally so they’re not damaged in the post.

Currently around 11h and 2yo. Not for beginners & not for children at this point.
There is no adoption fee but there is a very detailed contract restricting him being sold & ensuring appropriate care & maintenance. As with all HWI horses, Ike must be returned to us if no longer needed or suitable.

These girls are not for beginners or inexperienced people. Nor are they paddock ornaments to keep the feed down & be forgotten. They are handled but apprehensive & simply not getting enough contact here with us at the moment.
