Our Story
Angel Ashes is locally family owned, and operated here in Adelaide. My husband, Jason, and I run the business from Sheidow Park where we raise our family of children, dogs and cats.
After a negative experience with a pet cremation service, I was left holding an urn containing ashes I could only trust were those of my beloved cat, Oakley-Bean. With my sense of peace shattered, I wanted to provide pet owners with the peace of mind and comfort that had been taken away from me, so I established Angel Ashes in 2008 in Portland, Victoria, with my friend, Faline Williams (who left the company in 2010), offering pet cremations and memorial products to help owners say goodbye to their pets with love. Since 2013, I have serviced the Adelaide community with the highly personal service that is specific to Angel Ashes where every pet is treated as if it were my own. I am proud and humbled that this company I have built has acquired such great respect with over 130 reviews / recommendations on Facebook and now over 5,000 Facebook followers.
I have been an animal lover all my life - a strict vegetarian and then vegan from the age of 15 - and I always wanted to do something that would help animals. Now, not only do I get to do this every day, but I also get to help their people, too.
Jason came to Angel Ashes in 2010. Also a passionate animal lover and vegan, he became the backbone of the company and helped it to grow and expand, increasing the amount of people who can benefit from being able to say goodbye to their pet in such a loving way. He spends most days as a stay-at-home-dad and working for Angel Ashes behind the scenes while I visit clients.
We are personally available 7 days a week to take care of your pet's final resting with dignified, loving and trusted services. Should we be with clients or unavailable, we have a 24 hour receptionist to assist you on 1300 914 919. We also take online bookings and payments, as we understand it can be hard to make a call at such a difficult time. We accept all major credit cards including Amex, as well as major payment plans via zipPay, Afterpay and Latitude.
Angel Ashes is an Adelaide owned and operated family business since 2008, with options not available through other companies. All proceeds stay here in Adelaide, and help raise our children and fur babies.
