Want to know how to encourage foraging behaviour?🍃

Creating the perfect eating environment for your rabbit is an important part of helping them to forage and stay healthy.🐰

Here are some steps to follow:⬇️

💚Use a variety of feeding methods, such as scatter feeding, puzzle feeders, or hay feeders, to keep your rabbit engaged and interested in their food.
💚Create a safe and comfortable eating area for your rabbit. Make sure they have enough space to move around and access to fresh water at all times.
💚Choose the right diet for your rabbit's needs. Provide a balanced diet that includes hay, fresh vegetables, and nuggets
❌ Avoid feeding them sugary or starchy muesli that may cause harm to their digestive system.
💚Give your rabbit plenty of opportunities to exercise and explore their environment. This can include providing them with toys, tunnels, and other enrichment that encourages them to move around and forage.
💚Monitor your rabbit's behaviour and health regularly to ensure they are happy and healthy. If you notice any signs of illness or distress, contact your veterinary practice for advice and treatment.

A huge donation to a wonderful rescue organisation The Rabbit Sanctuary

Happy Tuesday!

We recently had the pleasure of being able to donate a whole pallet of Burgess Australia (325kg worth of food 🤩) to The Rabbit Sanctuary 🐰

Kim runs the The Rabbit Sanctuary and does an amazing job of rescuing and rehoming bunnies in the NSW area 🐾

The Rabbit Sanctuary is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation where time never runs out for rabbits. Their goal is to raise the cultural value of the pet rabbit to be seen as a companion house pet 🐰

Nestled in 25 acres of bushland in Northern NSW (15 mins from Grafton), the sanctuary is the only one of its kind & is a calming & healing place for all that visit 😌
