NEW STAFF MEMBER! 👨‍⚕️🩺

Recently Dr. Shannon Currin joined our veterinary team. He graduated back in 2008 and has since worked in many different practices with majority of his years spent in emergency and critical care!

He is passionate about animal welfare and strengthening the bond between owner and pet by providing gold standard care. ✨

Winston’s Story!

This sweet Dachshund gentleman was recently in the clinic having his follow up X-rays performed after he had his Luxating Patella repaired by the mobile specialists marsvets. 🦴🩻

He has had both his Patella’s repaired now and has been given the all clear. His X-rays are pretty cool, showing some hardware in his previously repaired leg!

We love Winston and fingers crossed this is the last of his major surgeries! 🤞🖤🤎

DENTAL AWARENESS MONTH 🦷🪥

During the month of August we like to bring awareness to the importance of Dental health and prevention of Dental disease. It is the most common health condition in our cats and dogs with over 70% of animals having some degree of dental disease by the age of 3 years old.

Prevention is always easier in the long run than trying to cure and we have some great ways of prevention:
▪️Dental mouth washes - Easy application by putting in the animals water.
▪️Treats - Once a day treats can help reduce the physical build up of plaque by the chewing process.
▪️Dental diets - Specific sized biscuits work in a very similar manner to dental treats but act as a cost effective way being able to feed a quality diet while targeting dental health.
▪️Toothbrushing - This is gold standard and the most ideal way to upkeep teeth.

Sister’s that get spayed together, stay together!

Ruby & Pixie had their routine desexing done together early last week and have done so well recovering & our incredible nurse Laura did such a great job caring for them post anaesthetic! ❤️‍🩹

They were such lovely little dogs and we can’t wait to see them back in clinic! 🥰🐾

Big Boy Boris was the most purrfect kitty last week when he had his dental procedure.🐈🦷

Boris' dental procedure consisted of full mouth dental xrays, a very thorough exam and a nice clean and polish! A few teeth were marked as missing and the rest were returned to their pearly white state. 🤍

We just loved this big regal kitty and look forward to continuing his health care. 🐾🥰
