Part of this work has been researching the wild diets of finches at different stages in their lifecycle (i.e. Using both the wild and captive research, a range of supplements has subsequently been formulated to meet the natural bio-rhythms of wild Australian seed-eaters. When added to a traditional diet, the scientific trials showed dramatic and staggering results in improving general health and well-being of birds, as well as increasing fertility, breeding success, nestling and juvenile growth rates and survival, as well as a number of other health, survival and reproductive-related effects. This has led to the decision to extend this nutritional work across a range of different species, which have very different nutritional requirements. Of course, this means we face the difficulty that more funding is required. It is against this background that NATURALLY for BIRDS was formed by Mike Fidler and Russell Kingston, with a view to raising funds for nutritional research by marketing the current products that have resulted from research to date."

NEW SEASON, AUSTRALIAN GROWN NIGER NOW AVAILABLE.

If you breed Siskins, canaries or any of the Fringillid species you need Niger as a dry seed or for sprouting during the breeding season.

We now have new season, Australian grown Niger available. Harvested in October in the far north west Kimberley region. New look packaging, same producer (RB Desert Seeds, Kununurra), same great quality.

Of course, this means we face the difficulty that more funding is required. It is against this background that NATURALLY for BIRDS was formed in 2014 by Mike Fidler and Russell Kingston, with a view to raising funds for nutritional research by marketing the current products that have resulted from research to date. Russell and Indra Kingston ran the business for a couple of years and in 2016 Gary F**t and Cheryl Mares took the reins and now operate Naturally for Birds. Additional products have been added and a great set of clients has been developed.

All profits from Naturally for Birds goes to the Save the Gouldian Fund to continue investing in research to support active conservation efforts for the Gouldian Finch and other Australian species."
