Two curly coats, two best mates, who’ve grown up right alongside the kids. One is still full of bounce, the other has seen it all - 15 years young.

This family reached out as their old boy started slowing down, and we made sure the kids and family he grew up with will always have these memories to hold onto 😍.

One of my favourite photos I've ever taken is the black and white one below.

But this weekend we had to say goodbye to Rainer - the funniest, calmest, dorkiest, and quirkiest dog I've known. He's been in our fam for so long, it's hard to picture what it's like without him.

I would say my two most commons reason for someone booking in their dog for a session is either the dog is a puppy or new to them OR the opposite - their bestie is getting older and it's time to make sure these photos exist.

In this case, Charley the golden is 'only' 11 but at least now her human parents know they have these photos with her and especially photos of Charley with her two little besties.

I've met Charley before as I photographed these two boys as newborns as well, and she's always been such a sweetie.

Just get the photos done - we never regret it 😍

Say hello to Sully! Sully is a seriously adorable 10 month old Golden Retriever and honestly, he was a delight to photograph!

Sully's mum decided to take the plunge and get him professionally photographed because he'd had some health concerns as a puppy that have recently been all cleared, so we can all breathe easy that this beautiful boy will continue growing up happy and healthy.

Sully also tips the scales over for Heart Dog Photography - I have officially photographed Goldens the most! I guess Goldie owners love to get photos done 😍
