With 26 cats in care, they need lots of loving, pats and scratches and we only have so many hands!

Some of these cats also need to get used to people’s love and attention as they are a little shy and need so coaxing to come out of their shells to get them ready for their furever homes.

We thought the best way to get some extra hands to help with this was to reach out to our cat loving followers and invite YOU to our triage points to meet the cats and spend some time with them! 😻

Can you spare an hour or two on a Saturday or a Sunday between 10am and 2pm to come to either New Lambton Heights or Argenton to cuddle some cats?

Tea, coffee and biccies will be supplied!

🤩 We host multiple free microchipping days throughout the year, where you can bring along your furry friends to be microchipped – or even to have their chip details checked & updated!

📆 Our next free microchipping days will be this coming Monday 8 July at Huntlee District Park from 1.30-3.30pm (dogs only) and Saturday 31 August at Pets Domain Cessnock from 9.30am-12.00pm (both dogs & cats) – make sure to add one of these dates to your calendar!

The NSW Police Force is reminding the community to stay vigilant of phishing scams that attempt to impersonate government agencies, such as the Australian Tax Office (ATO), as this end of financial year approaches.

Phishing scams involve a fraudulent attempt by criminals to obtain and use your personal information by sending messages via text and email which appear to contain genuine links from legitimate companies.

These ATO impersonation phishing scams are often sent by text message, email or received by phone call, encouraging you to click on a link or to visit a website that is actually a fraudulent MyGov login page. From there, scammers will steal your personal information and credentials, and gain access to your accounts.

These 2 smoochie corgi’s had a relaxing time at Estate Tuscany with their Sitter while their Hoomans enjoyed a romantic dinner for 2, to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
It always feels wonderful to make sure our Clients and their furbabies are relaxed enough to have a great holiday.

FORGIVE ME, MOMMY 😢🐾…
I was there where you left me for two whole days. Sleeping right on the side of the road. I was terrified of the noise from the cars but I did not move.
Last night one of those cars stopped and she got out. She invited me to lunch but I said no. She invited me to come sleep at her house and I also said no. I tried to explain to her that I was waiting for you but she wouldn’t listen. She pulled out a leash and said I couldn’t stay there any longer. I bit her several times and ended up peeing on myself as I growled and cried! She didn’t understand that she was separating me from you! She took me against my will and we drove off! I was so sad because I knew you were going to be worried. We ended up at her house.
I kept screaming hoping you would hear me but you never came. I vomited because of my nerves, feeling so sick. I kept telling her I had to go back because you were going to think I abandoned you when you saw I wasn’t there! I, who love you with all my heart and soul have not stopped crying since we separated a few days ago. I want you to know, I would never do that to you.
I don’t know where you are now or why you stopped the car and left me there. Surely you had something very important to do. Can you come find me now, mommy?
Today I ate because my tummy was hurting. I also slept on a very soft bed. And by accident I also wiggled my tail a bit. I’m so sorry, please forgive me. She’s just being really nice to me. She said I could stay forever. She’s calling me Savannah, but I already have a name. When you pick me up you can tell it to her. You’ll see how surprised she’ll be when you explain to her that this was a big mistake.
Because mommy, you’re coming back for me, right 😢?

This is Caroline. She moved overseas with all her animals.
She never wrote on Facebook "I'm giving up my cats and dogs because I'm moving"or I'm having a baby or I've had the animal a year, two years or more and now I suddenly don't have time for it or can't afford to feed it.
So, when you get an animal, remember that it’s a fragile creature, part of the family and must follow you everywhere you go, otherwise don’t get one!!

This is the last photo taken of Hachikō, a Japanese Akita dog remembered for his unwavering loyalty to his owner.
Hachikō belonged to Professor Eizaburo Ueno who lived in Shibuya and taught at Tokyo Imperial University during the early 1920s.
Every day, Ueno would walk to Shibuya Station with Hachikō and take the train to work. Once he was done for the day, he would take the train back and return to the station at precisely 3 PM. Hachikō would always be there waiting patiently to accompany the professor home.
One day, Ueno suffered a stroke and never arrived at the station. Hachikō went to the station every day for 9 years until his death in 1935.
