Lots of amazing mushrooms available tomorrow. See you all there!
tomorrow I have a fantastic special happening!
Tomorrow only - Donāt miss out!
Wow what an amazing color! Unfortunately this is the dreaded slime mold, which usually makes its prominent appearance in the hot humid weather. This year has been particularly bad. It first kills all the mycelium thatās growing and then produces this yellow slime which will form a furry black hairs with lots of spores. Certainly not my friend ! Jan and February are usually a bit like this.
Good news is my Autumn stock is underway and should be ready in about a month.
Hoping everyone has had a lovely weekend. Iāve been in Tassie dancing Argentine Tango at a Festival and a little bushwalking. I get back a little late this evening, so unfortunately I wonāt be able to attend tomorrow .
Iām unsure if the Shroom Brothers will be filling in tomorrow or not.
I will be on Wednesday morning. See you all then.

Lovely and lots of have grown this week. These delicious natural grown mushrooms are fruited in a gorgeous forest environment in UKI NSW. They will be available tomorrow morning. See you all there!
Another big week of bag production, another next week too!
Once colonized Some will be expanded into straw Pails, some as grow kits and most for fruiting. 144 bags this week.
Lots of these gorgeous mushrooms, including lots of Tan Oysters and monster White Oysters. See you all in the morning!
Lots of gorgeous mushrooms heading to the markets this week!
Well thatās it Iām now officially 60 years old! Itās been a very busy week, lots of production happening and some of the new spring stock heading for forest fruiting. Iāve managed to get my mountain bike really dusty and cleaned as well.
Had to prepare for a family lunch on Saturday and a local party Sunday, thanks to all my lovely friends for helping me celebrate this milestone. š
Tomorrow Iām unable to attend as itās too warm for my winter stock and spring stock is just going out now. Itās also been very dry in my forest environment of lately. Rest assured they will take off soon. I believe Shroom Brothers are filling in for me tomorrow.
See you all next week!
Itās how it all goes! This Autumn / Winter season has not been very kind to the mushrooms this year. The worst year ever for my Shiitakes and Namekos! Even with the sprinklers going any moisture is just not hanging about long enough and is drying too quickly, for example I can only count 3 days with dew on the car this season.
Along with that, the weather has been quite hot for winter, thus my beautiful native Blue oysters just didnāt perform as hoped.
The month of August is not usually a good month anyway.
Saying this my business processes and procedures have improved so much and Iām happy with the overall results.
Tomorrow
I will have very little produce and one lucky person will score this gorgeous Lions Mane Mushroom, which I am slowly bringing them back into production again.
All in all thatās the joys of growing naturally fruited mushrooms in their natural environment, they are seasonal, micro seasonal, and of course Delicious! Grown right here in UKI NSW from scratch, I make all the cultures, spawn, kits, pails, logs right here, not imported, nor store bought spawn.
Iām Sorry for those that will miss out tomorrow. š
Donāt forget to book into my workshop before the deadline.
See you all tomorrow. š¤
Yes itās on again! My popular Mushroom Cultivation Workshop.

Half way through my inoculations for this weekās production. Another half day of inoculations tomorrow, after a MTB ride in the morning. Second photo shows the mycelium growth from the last production 3 weeks ago.
Gorgeous morning for a little jog, some whale watching and a little stretching before
Well it has been a bit windy! Iām not a fan of picking the mushrooms when itās windy as you can see in the picture.
Still I do.
Not many mushrooms due to the dryness and the new moon. See you all tomorrow and Wednesday
Was a lovely start to the market, I enjoy my early Tuesday morning run on the beach near the market venue.
Some lovely mushrooms heading to tomorrow morning!
See you all there.
Finally production all done! For the week, now for some RnR . Doing the same again in 2 weeks.
Almost all done, just another 75 bags to inoculate tomorrow arvo once they have cooled down enough.
Thursday whilst the first batch was in the steamers, I was bagging the second batch. Then i had to organize all the spawn for the inoculations, clean the clean room etc.
Friday morning was an early start to change the loads in the steamers. Once done I had some spare time so I put new brake calipers on my old MTB bike before inoculating the first batch this evening.

Work never stops as a mushroom farmer! Last week saw some dry windy conditions that destroyed the growing mushrooms. The last few days have seen more manageable conditions and they are bouncing back again. More photos on the results later. It is looking good to have some nice #gourmetmushrooms for the #murwillumbahfarmersmarket on Wednesday morning.
A typical production week making new #growathome #gourmetmushrooms kits and all the #mushroomspawn to start each of the kits.
