We had the pleasure of meeting Molli for training yesterday, a very good pup! 🥰
Our training focuses on both snake movement and snake smell- using non-venomous python species as a visual cue, as well as local venomous snake species as a cue for scent.

If consumed compound 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) is rapidly absorbed out of the gut into the bloodstream and is highly toxic.

When the weather begins to warm up many species of snake will begin emerging from their winter dormancy in search of food and a mate.
This period of lethargy is called brumation, and is akin to hibernation in mammals. Some species of snake are more tolerant of the cold than others, particularly Tiger Snakes.
So even though there is still a chill in the air, it is the perfect time to prepare you and your pooch for the seasons ahead!

The Waroona Vet team were shocked to have their first snake bite of the season come through their doors last week and are urging the community to have a plan in place.
