Few paddocks freshened up yesterday, cleaned out and ready for the next horses are looking sparkly fresh under the frost this morning.

We have a few paddocks available for pre training. Offering high speed treadmill, walker, arena, trot/canter track and large and small paddocks all on quiet property. Track work at both Hamilton and Mount Gambier race courses.

Round yards and breaking spaces available as well.

It might seem like an un important job but we hand fill every horses water daily with regular scrubbing to ensure fresh clean water for our horses to drink.

Filling each bucket with a hose each day allows us to accurately monitor how much each horse has drank in the previous 24 hours which has so many benefits. One of those benefits being you get to give the horse a scratch and they tell you how much they appreciate the fresh water.

One of the best things we have done is install a hot water service for the horses. A good hot bath after working on these cold wet days keeps the muscles warm and the horses incredibly happy. Here is one of our pre trainers Rich Paris enjoying her after work bath, they don’t get much happier than this 🐴

Chief having a gallop this with another trainers horse. Chief is on the outside ridden by Amy this morning. Always nice for me to get that second opinion when I’m always riding my own horses.

Bucking, rearing and playing until I pull the camera out. Chief fast becoming a stable favourite and showing us how much he is appreciating the extra care he’s been getting during his time here.

Something we really enjoy is taking horses that have lost their spark and helping find it again. Let’s hope this boy can show how much going that extra mile can achieve 🤞

Looking forward to heading to Ararat trials with one of our new horses tomorrow. Naval Chief had a nice little hit out Saturday preparing for his trial tomorrow. Hoping for a nice trial before heading into his first race for us 🐴

Ensuring our horses are in their best physical state is incredibly important to us. We supplement and create feeds specific to each horse, so we hang the extra expense and add Speedibeat to our race horses feed providing several excellent benefits to our horses while also being a wonderful way to mix our supplements into our feed ensuring the horses get everything they need to be at their absolute best. All of this makes for happy healthy horses inside and out. 🐎

Another two breakers finished and ready to go home. Big thank you to Crystal who jumped on one this morning. It’s always good when I change my plans 20 times a day and then Crystal walks into the track and we can always count on her to jump on one for us even we when surprise them on her in the mornings. 🐎
