Ararat Endurance Ride has always been a favourite event for us! This year we had perfect weather conditions!🤩🤩
Taahirah Hercules had his first overnight stay for his 2nd ride (first for this year). He handled the whole experience like a champ! Of course he couldn't have done it without his bro squad of Dollar and Eternity! Thank you Claudia for taking such great care of Herc/Hunk-ules! And massive thanks to Bec Furness Lees and Jan Scholes for being security detail on track and in the vet ring 😆 Herc definitely loves being with his boys! 😍

In the 100km event we got to steal Asiya Contessa again for Taylar! Thanks again Bec for allowing us to have access to your amazing mare! Tay did a fantastic job guided by Emily Pinnuck and both completed and retired at the 80km mark!

Victorian State Championships held at lovely Eldorado was beautiful during daylight times and freezing cold at night! 🥶🥶🥶

We enter Al Jeda Hammerli aka Mojo with Camille in the 160km ride. They travelled beautifully for the first three legs but we decided to withdraw before the 4th leg. Mojo and Camille are both great.

In the 81km ride we had Botusa Park Jezabelle and Emily paired together! They did a fantastic job placing =6th! Jez was still full of beans keen to run more at the end! Great legging up for Tumbarumba!

Better late than never!
Easter weekend we had 2 in at the Burrumbuttock Endurance Ride. It was HOT and DUSTY! Unfortunately not the results we were aiming for (along with over half the field!) Newcomer Taylar was paired with Mojo and is definitely keen for another shot! Emily rode Jez and as the experienced rider, did a great job looking after Taylar and the 2 horses! Hopefully our Equestrian events won't clash too often and we can have you both back!

On Sunday Alam and Roger were back in action crewing for Tim and his horse Khasper (who was in training with us until Jess's recent surgery) as they successfully completed the 80km! Congratulations!

The best sight after a week away and 2300+km!

Inglewood in October FEI ride was an epic trip to end our endurance season off! Our plan was to do the 1* 100km event and start Al Jeda Hammerli's FEI qualifications.
We left Monday from home and had a night at Gilgandra. Training Tuesday morning then back on the road with a 2 night rest at Goondiwindi. Wednesday was 42°!!! Mojo was feeling great and looking amazing!
A shampoo with blinging white socks we loaded Mojo and left Goondiwindi Thursday and arrived at the ride base. It was hot, dry, dusty and very windy!

Friday we met local Queenslander Camille Fitton who we partnered with Mojo for the ride!
Saturday morning was entries, pre-ride talk and vetting. Everything was perfect for a 1pm start! We had a ride plan and Camille rode it to perfection! She and Mojo were a fantastic partnership! Mojo did everything right, ate all through the hold times, drank plenty throughout the ride and finished strong in 6th place!! His logbook looks fantastic with all A's and 1's! We are so proud of Mojo and with how Camille rode. The track had quite a lot of deep sand and hard concussive ground and Camille road to the conditions and read Mojo so well. We highly recommend Camille for future rides!

Of course this trip wouldn't have been as breezy if we didn't have the wonder team of Bec Furness Lees and Jan Scholes helping us and Mojo get this result! Thank you so much for all your help and support ladies!!

A couple more photos from this weekend at the Victorian State Championships

The Victorian State Championships were held at Mia Mia this weekend. We had Botusa Park Jezabelle prepped and ready for a steady 160km. Starting at midnight she her rider Sue Vacher headed off with the field. 1st leg she breezed through VGIH in 2min then headed back out onto the 2nd leg. At the 2nd vet check she was out with hind end lameness unfortunately. A real shame as she was so keen to continue on!
In the 86km ride Tim rode Shamali Khasper. In off the first leg, vetted well and continued onto the 2nd leg. Again at the 2nd vet check he was out lame.
Looking at the results for the weekend most vet outs were from being lame. A deceiving track for sure.
In the 41km Bec Furness Lees rode Asiya Contessa and Jan Scholes rode Sbara Dollar Never Cease for a successful completion! Congratulations ladies!

Saturday's training run

Ararat Endurance ride is a ride we absolutely love attending. This year the weather was perfect!
Our team had 3 horses in the 80km, Renee Cawood with Botusa Park Jezabelle, Diana The-Kronenburg with Al Jeda Hammerli who both cruised around and completed the ride and Shiling Tan with Shemali Khasper who was withdrawn after leg 1.
In the 40km event Bec Furness Lees and Ralvon Eternity along with their partners in crime Jan Scholes and Sbara Dollar Never Cease finished their ride with smiles! We also had Dan come back after a lengthy spell and partner with Asiya Contessa but were unsuccessful in the 40km.
Thank you to our AMAZING team: Tim, Renee, Bec, Jan, Daniel, Diana and Shiling for a great weekend of riding!
