Hi everyone

I would like to point out something that I would say most people who have their dogs groomed don’t seem to realise. PRICE

I have potential clients say to me that I only pay X amount for a groom, then when I ask them how often they have it done, they say once per month. The only reason for this is that the dog is being STYLE clipped. Examples of this would be breeds such as Maltese, Shih-Tzus, Poodles, Moodles, Cavoodles etc.

Then comes the all I pet at question I ask, “so how much do you pay?”

The answer is “oh I only pay $80 per visit”. When speaking with them, I outline that a base price say for a Shih-Tzu for a Pet clip is $110 every 3 months, NOT every month. Effectively, the client is paying $240 every 3 months @ $80 per month, when my charge is $110 every 3 months. Nobody ever considers this however, I feel it is imperative that you do take this into this account when you consider my pricing

I have 17 years experience in all breeds and sizes, fully qualified, pet first aid qualified, police checked and fully insured

I look forward to your calls and caring for your pets. Please consider the scenario above in relation to pricing as it will save you money, and ensure your pets are kept in tip top condition

Kindest regards

Dean

Hi all, I am always asked about grooming during the winter months. Can you imagine not showering for 3 or more months of the year??

Clients can also express concern over grooming of their pups coat during winter. The most important element in all of this is that regardless of what you think, regular grooming regardless of temperature is absolutely paramount to your dogs overall health and well-being

Coats can be groomed with a gradual reduction in length using a series of combs. By doing this, we greatly reduce the potential for the coat to matt. If you leave a coat on your pup during winter, maintaining a regular coat length Is critical.

You have to trust the expertise and knowledge of your groomer to advise you on the critical importance of regular grooming, regardless of the weather.

Our trailer is heat pump equipped, with thermostatically heated water.

It is very easy for any groomer to say what they want, the proof is in the pudding

I look forward to your inquires and speaking with you, to reassure you in any way I can that regular grooming is not just a need, it is absolutely critical

With my best wishes

Grooming information - Barking Bubbles Tip 2

MATTING - why is it so dangerous for your dogs?

When your pups coat is matted, it does several things so let’s explore what they are.

1. Restricts blood flow by shutting off or severely restricting capillaries

2. Restricts nerve function within the skin

3. Severely depletes oxygen supply to the skin with the possibility of haematomas when the matting is released and finally

4. If left too long, the skin can actually die due to a combination of the above but mainly due to oxygen depletion due to capillary restriction

As a groomer dealing with all types of dogs and conditions, the one that takes an inordinate amount of skill, knowledge, flexibility and lateral thinking in the way you approach what you have to do is matted
dogs

I implore EVERY dog owner that may have experienced this the they have their dogs groomed regularly by a professionally qualified and pet first aid accredited groomer

IF you have a pup in this condition or for any grooming requirements please either direct message me or call 0447433343 to let me care for your beloved fur-baby members

G’day everyone.

Do you know that your pups loose a layer of skin every 3 weeks as a natural shedding process? So what does this mean? If this dead skin is left and not removed, it continues to build and create skin issues. Itching, dry skin, discomfort and an overall unhealthy skin environment.

The only way to combat this is with regular grooming with an ideal washing time frame of every month. This allows a 7 day window to remove the previous 3 weekly shedding cycle. The Shanpoos inundatede contain Citronella, Rosemary and Aloe Vera ensuring a brilliant clean skin, coupled with natural colour enhancing ingredients. All natural and cosmetic grade also PH neutral.

With 17 years experience in all breeds and sizes, it would be a pleasure to care for your fur-children so please either call me on 0447433343 or message me directly to book your pups grooming

Howdy folks

I trust you all had a fabulous relaxing and joyous XMAS and NY!!

Why are dogs so in tune with their owners? Dogs share around 80% of their DNA with their human counterparts so physiologically and emotionally they show almost every trait humans do.

Most human medicines can be used to treat the same ailments we humans suffer from (Veterinary approved of course). A dogs most important sensory organ is their NOSE. If they loose all other senses, dogs can literally build a map of your home and yard simply by memorising sensory trails.

Also, the common misconception is that dogs not need regular grooming or bathing. In an ideal scenario, a dog should be washed at least every 28 days for a number of reasons, ensuring their overall health and vitality.

I have been fortunate enough to care for dogs of all breeds and sizes over the past 17 years of grooming, and would love to share my knowledge and passion for my profession with you and your fur-children

Please call me on 0447433343 or message me to experience the level of care I can provide

All the best

Gday everyone

So just how difficult is it to be a professional groomer?

The answer - VERY DIFFICULT!!

Would you use a medical student to perform open heart surgery? It angers me that there are what can only be called sharlatans providing a service which they have absolutely no right to be involved in. You should not be using anyone so called groomers who cannot substantiate where they were trained and to what level. Your pets deserve the care of a QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL and not just someone who has performed a groom on a friends dog who operates from their garage.

The general public in general have absolutely no idea that the pet grooming industry across Australia is NOT REGULATED. Therefore, you can have anybody set themselves up with a van, grooming equipment and a dog, do a few grooms for a friend in their garage and then call themselves a professional groomer when they are nothing of the sort

My training included a Nationally recognised
CERT3 in grooming, Pet First Aid which again is Nationally recognised through the Pets Industry Association of Australia (PIAA), 17 years of grooming all breeds and sizes, specialist in Arctic breeds, Gun Dogs, severely matted breeds, double coated breeds and more.

My Pet First Aid training has allowed me to pinpoint medical issues with the pups I care for, that the owners had absolutely no idea they were presenting with.

I urge you to ask anyone you are thinking of using to groom your dogs, to prove their qualifications before they are allowed to even be considered for that privilege

All the best

To all my future potential clients

Barking Bubbles Mobile Pet Grooming

Offering AFTERPAY with ZIPPay soon

With so many new faces in the grooming industry, I feel it necessary to outline something that is never considered, better still never asked

You must ask ANY prospective groomer who you are considering to care for your fur-baby, the following questions

1. Where were you trained, to what level and who was you Master groomer?

2. How much experience do you have?

3. What breeds are you experienced with?

4. What size of dogs do you deal with?

These are just some of the things you need to ask to ensure you are in capable hands

With 17 years grooming with all breeds and sizes, you are in very capable and safe hands

I look forward to your calls and affording me the opportunity to provide the very best mobile grooming care for your fur-babies

Best wishes to all
